The year is 1900, 6 years after Jesse left New Hampshire and 1 year after the Newsboy Strike. Jesse left New Hampshire and moved to New York, he also went under the name of Charlie or Crutchie. Jesse made friends quickly and almost forgot about Winnie until he heard a voice behind him:
