After leaving an unsafe home life, MJ discovers a hidden oasis in the middle of the woods. She meets Joe Toy, who teaches her that it's okay to trust even after being hurt.

This is a fanfic/romance for "The Kings of Summer" (starring Nick Robinson), but it will be easy to follow along even if you've never seen the movie.
