Not Your Average Fairytale

In two short months, Prince Oliver's father will abdicate from the throne (or, as he likes to say, "I'm retiring") leaving Oliver to assume the role as king. He's been preparing for this his entire life, ready to serve the Commonwealth as his father and others before him.

There's just one tiny problem: His mother is insistent that he be married. No monarch in their country has been married before coronation.

Which leads to an ever bigger problem: Oliver isn't seeing anyone. Nor does he want to get married. It also doesn't help that most days his mother slips in eligible bachelorette profiles for him to consider.

Becca Campbell has been working for her father's media production company since graduating with honors 9 years ago (thankyouverymuch) and has been trying to work her way into a producer role with one of the many top rated TV shows his company supports.

There's just one tiny problem: Becca's father only seems to notice the things that go wrong. And when the Board of Directors and Vice Presidents, and every other higher up big wig only listens to him? It's a little tricky to climb the ladder.

Which leads to an even bigger problem: Becca has been given a shot to pitch a new show to her father and the Board, and she has had no luck coming up with a viable idea.

When Oliver's sister--who also happens to be Becca's best friend--sees a way to solve both of their problems, it seems too good to be true. A documentary-slash-reality dating show? Even better, it's not to find him a wife, but simply a date to the coronation. Becca knows that this will be given the green light for sure: behind the curtain of royal families is a guaranteed sell.

But as Oliver and Becca spend time together, they will soon see that the exact things they want to avoid are suddenly impossible to ignore. Sometimes the fairytale they're trying to sell is actually nothing like what people believe it to be.
