Hayashi Kira is twelve years old and recently transfered to Seiyo Elemetry school. She is very shy and and goes unnocited by many of the students, execpt Kukai. Kira also has a guardian character named Hikari. Hayashi Ume is fourteen years old. She is the older sister of Kira and like her sister transferred into Seiyo schools. She goes to Seiyo Middle school. Ume is very bright and loving. When she goes to school she quickly makes new friends. But Ume is afraid of not fitting in. Her Guardian Character is Mai.
