According to folk tales, it is said that when a werewolf finds his "mate" , he instantly marks her as his since it's a belief that this mark symbolizes the pure love and adoration between them. But when the 'mate' happens to be a human, is it always easy to mark her ?

Similarly here, disturbed by not so good past, a werewolf is afraid to accept that she is his mate and afraid to mark her as his because she is a human. Inspite of being a werewolf, his behaviour is more of a human being. She is unknown to his reality. Will she accept him and will he be able to mark her at the end ?
