The priest instructed him to apply the vermillion. He took a bit in his hand and paused just a few centimeters away from her forehead. He asked her in a slow voice, "Tara, bhar du na?"

(Tara, shall I apply it?)

"Nahi bharna chahte hain aap?" Tara asked, her eyebrows furrowed.

(Don't you want to?)

"I don't do divorce. Reh logi bina pyar ke?" he asked softly.

(I don't do divorce. Will you stay without love?)

"Pyar ke bina toh reh lungi. Lekin Rudra aap, Yuvraj aur Yashvi toh mere sath rahoge na?" Tara asked, smiling.

(I can stay without love. But Rudra, will you, Yuvraj, and Yashvi stay with me?)
