it's strange how one can grow up in this world, fed, clothed, and sheltered, and still not know a damn thing when one reaches young adulthood. For that matter, middle adulthood. How does one grow up on the farm/ranch and not understand the cycle of life, love, and death? Why is it so easy to just go through childhood and not see how anything works? Why are some people born with the innate ability to figure these things out and thrive? Why do others never ever figure it out?
Myself being one of the latter, have spent many agonizing hours, days, years, wondering about how I could have grown up and never learned.......anything! Always waiting, it seems, for that epiphany. "Ah ha!"
