Following the destruction of her home planet, Astra falls into the hands of rogue scientists who experimented on her to become "the ultimate weapon of destruction" before she's saved by Rocket Raccoon and Groot and later makes a name for herself, not just as Joules, but as a Guardian of the Galaxy.
