With Miguel running away to Mexico, their disaster prom night and what happened at the All Valley, Sam's feelings have changed. She's frustrated and fed up with herself.

After a party thrown by Moon and Yasmin ends in disaster and an argument with Daniel the next day, Sam finally snaps and starts training with Johnny and Eagle Fang full time, causing her to travel down a dark path. She finds herself in a deep downward spiral and unable to dig her way out. Amanda tries reasoning with her. Daniel tries. Miguel tries. Even Anthony tries. Yet no one is able to break through to her, until a certain someone does because they've been in a similar position.
