Bloo hated Jax. With everything in her. She hated his arrogant grin, his know-it-all attitude, and the way he seemed to get on her nerves at every turn. She couldn't stand being in the same room as him and couldn't wait for the day they'd go their separate ways.
Little did she know that she was the only person he wanted to be around. She made him feel at home, even as he drove her up the wall. And as the tension between them increased, Jax was having a blast. Every time he pushed Bloo's buttons and got a reaction out of her, he felt a thrill of satisfaction run through him. But over the days and weeks of their verbal sparring matches, he started to notice the smallest things about her: The way she rolled her eyes when he made a particularly cutting remark, the softening of her expression when he cracked a joke, and the way her voice wavered just a little each time he caught her by surprise.
As their game of verbal chess continued, he found himself more and more enamored with her. And before he knew it-
