Hikigaya Hachiman has been suspended from the police force. But he is called back after a high profile case involving the death of Totsuka Saika, the biggest tennis star in Japan, who also happens to be one of his childhood friends. As Hachiman starts the investigation, he is brought face to face with numerous people from his past. There is something sinister at play here, he can feel it. But who will listen to the words of a paranoid police officer who is about to commit career suicide. There is a conspiracy, a cover-up and soon the bodies start to drop, one by one. Everyone is guilty and no one is safe. Will he survive and brings his friend's killer to justice?
