An Angel Named Angel is about Angel Flores, a teenage girl, who is sold into a brothel, The Big Pink, by her family because of their abject poverty. She is purchased by an exploitative old lady, Manna the pimp. The Big Pink is a hell where girls lose all hope and Manna is the Devil because she receives some sort of sick pleasure by removing all hope. Angel doesn't fall prey to the evil tactics (drug-feeding, Cortez the bodyguard, the fake debt they must payback) and wants to escape. Azazello is a coyote and one of her clients. Angel begins to save whatever tips she can get out of clients in order to purchase her own escape. Angel dreams of fleeing Mexico and living a new life in America. She has to escape two times-from The Big Pink and Mexico. Will she escape sexual slavery or will she become another lost soul?* I was told by a publisher that because I am a male writer that this story comes off as disingenuous. I totally agree. I'm looking for a Mexican non-fiction woman writer. The story is semi-complete. You will NOT just be a co-writer in name. I want to work together and make the best possible story. You don't have to be a non-fiction writer, but it is a preference. I want this story to come off like a true story. That is why it says based on a true story...similar to Fargo.…
