After a terrible war in the distant future, the only people left on Earth live on a small island covered permanently by dark clouds. Gus, who lives in a city on the beach, just lost his grandmother. He knew she was sick, but that didn’t make it any easier. The more his family and community pulls together to show support, the more Gus pushes them away.
