Jest przewodniczącą samorządu szkolnego, ma świetne oceny, nienaganne zachowanie, wszyscy ją lubią, należy do szkolnej drużyny cheerleaderek, gdzie zresztą jest kapitanką, jest ładna i ugania się za nią każdy chłopak, ponad to ma zadatki na pisarkę. Ma wszystko, o czym marzy większość nastolatek. Jedynym zmartwieniem Loli są jej rodzice, których plany na przyszłość jedynego dziecka, mocno odbiegają od marzeń dziewczyny. Norman - Ma niecałe 19 lat. Uczy się w Garfield High School, a dokładniej w klasie 3"B". Nie można go nazwać dobrym uczniem. Jego zachowanie odbiega od ideału. Nie jest Bad Boy'em. Do takiego mu daleko, a on sam nie marzy o zostaniu nim. Ludzie nie gnębią go, ale i nie darzą ogromną sympatią. Ma swoich dwóch kumpli, z którymi mieszka od czasu śmierci rodziców. Jeśli w szkole jest jakaś akcja, to bardziej niż pewne, że stoi za nią Norman oraz jego banda. Dziewczyny raczej go omijają, nie jest uważany za przystojnego, a o miejscu w jakiejkolwiek szkolnej drużynie może co najwyżej pomarzyć.
