'll explain the meaning to save you all the research. you see bridges as we already discussed connect, and they are strong making it hard to damage and carry a lot. That bridge signifies the relationship one has with a person, whether it'd be a significant other, a friend, or even a family member. Now why burn the bridge? Not all bridges will be strong enough or worth the effort to rebuild. Meaning, we go through friendships that are healthy and strong and others that are toxic, manipulative, physically and mentally abusive, and overall damaging and violent. Sounds horrible, but for some reason, no matter how horrible they are, we put in the effort to keep that connection we created, the connection that was once comfortable, caring, and happy. We deal with the abuse or toxicity because we don't want to lose that person that became someone important in our lives. Eventually, the more we repair and try to maintain the connection the more tiring it gets when you're the only one trying to keep it up. We finally come to the realization that we do not deserve this type of relationship, we should not have to put up with it, we realize the months or years of agony that we had to put up with just to not lose that person. Making us feel mentally and maybe even physically drained over time. We eventually realize that enough is enough and it's time to set fire to the bridge, putting an end to it once and for all, for our own sake. There, the bridge is burning, we see the ash and smoke, the brightness of the fire leading us to a path we have to take, it needed to be done. The next question is what does that path lead to? That's what I had to find out for myself.…
