One Year Ago......Everything felt scary. Scarier than it was supposed to be. Every step, every click of the clock, every little glances of the people in the funeral always seemed to strike a cord in Lia's head and make her fall onto her knees, gasping. Perhaps it was the voices in her head constantly reminding of the ear piercing sounds of the gun going off, crimson splatters of blood all on her. Some of it was hers, and the others were of all the people she couldn't save. None of this was supposed to happen if she hadn't been so reckless. She should've seen it coming. But the human mind was the scariest of them all.Now she could relate to that better than anyone else. It had been two days since that whole catastrophe and Lia had been up the whole day. Now she was just staring at the ceiling fan, hoping to get hypnotized and magically lose her memory. The unknown voice always kept getting into her head somehow and haunted her till she attempted to kill herself, but she chickens out last minute. Sleep wasn't a bad option either, because the voice couldn't haunt her in her dreams but now she can't even get sleep to engulf it's long, invisible arms around her and protect her from the voice. Everything good she ever had had left her life for good and never ever looked back for once.Lia now has to get used to putting the 'former' off from her detective title and get to work because she has a case to solve. Solving a case was never easy. A lot of people get killed in the process too. Lia would always go as far as she could to keep her loved ones safe. But what happens to her when she faces death itself?โฆ
