This story had its beginning during the Pacific War in 1944, in the eastern part of the British North Borneo territory.It was about a young Japanese Kamikaze pilot who was shot down over the abandoned prisoners ' camp in Sandakan. You may not believe this, but stories are real. They exist inside a pocket universe within a book. If an Interpreter puts on binding rings, they can enter stories. If an author puts on binding rings they can wield the power, wisdom and knowledge from their worlds. My grandmother is named Temperance Storm and she is 600 years old. She is an Interpreter and was Shakespeare's apprentice. She made very good friends with Shakespeare's daughter named Abagail Shakespeare. William Shakespeare's death drove Abagail mad. She reigned for a decade but eventually Temperance burned her inside her own book. Fast forward a few centuries and my grandmother gives me binding rings. I am an Interpreter named Tessa Storm. I went to a Storyverse school named Cloud 9 for my first year. But a cloaked witch attacked the entire student body to find something called a forbidden book. Each of these books combined created a Ring of Everything. An artefact with the power of all of fiction. Every story ever written. It turned out to be our teacher named Missy Sword. She escaped after forging the Ring of Everything. In our 2nd year Abagail's followers attacked Sea Angel Academy, our 2nd Storyverse school. A time ghost attacked the place as well. A time ghost is a living genetic tattoo that grants its user time and ghost capabilities. The tattoo can also be passed down genetically. The time ghost turned out to be me. Also, the most powerful man in our world (The Clock Lord) died at the hands of one of his apprentices. Come our third year and Abagail returned and became a time ghost. "(2167) The world is in a post apocalyptic state. In 2015, the world went into a new industrial revolution; a new power source was found. Starenhite, was the name of this new source, it was a crystal found only on Pluto. Countries gave into their greed, like always, and fought for this resource. The war started April 4, 2015, and it ended eventually in August 18, 2023, in the use of chemical and nuclear warheads. The world was decimated. But humanity salvation is in the industrial revolution in 2017. Many skyscrapers were built in the revolution, and the were built to withstand many nuclear hits. With the ground being infected with many upon many of diseases, the survivors climbed the steps, and rode the working elevators to the tops of the skyscrapers. The air at the top floors was clean. They disabled the elevators and guarded all the stairs. They stayed there for many, many years. They adapted to the life in the air. Making society anew, creating currency, clothes, growing food, and surviving. Leaders rose and shifted civilization into paths, some Scrapers (They're word for tribes or towns) became evil, pillaging and raping other Scrapers; other Scrapers were good, creating alliances, and doing good for mankind. Our story takes place in a Heracon (A complex of 4 Skyscrapers) with 4-7 main characters coming from different parts of the Heracon. *SIDE NOTE* The ones that didn't make it to the top turned into creatures (Detailed later)*SIDE NOTE*There are two Military Units. The Defense, Just the main military that guards the Scraper, and Reconnaissance, specially picked people that go out into the wasteland and scavenge for useful items and other things like books.
