An interesting concept I was going to use to get back into writing. It kind of failed when I lacked the inspiration to continue is after one chapter. You can still see the summary and the first chapter here. DISCONTINUED. In 1879, life as teenager is far more difficult than it is today. For Kate North, it is even harder. Used to life in her hometown of Houston, Texas, this not so average Southern belle is upset about leaving her luxurious home for the recently founded settlement of Flagstaff, Arizona. Unfortunately for Kate, that is the least of her worries. When Kate gets attacked by a wild, wolf-like beast only a month after she relocates, things start getting strange. Kate becomes very aggressive, and her parents decide the best thing for her is to send her to live with her Uncle Joe on his ranch far away from modern civilization. As if things couldn't get any more unusual, Uncle Joe says he knows what is wrong with Kate. He tells her that she has been infected with a disease that has turned her into a werewolf, called a yee naaldlooshii or "Skinwalker" by the local Navajo Indians. He says that there's nothing Kate can do to change what she is, but she can change what she does. He offers to teach her to become a cowgirl, and "Gal-boy" Kate can't help but accept. This story tells of her gun slinging, shape shifting adventures in the Old West.…
