Magic and Mayhem: The Madness
The ministers say that the Madness is caused by excessive use of magic. Or tainted magic. Or a dangerous rogue wizard on the loose. They say that the allay-bands will keep everyone safe.Laruu doesn't have the magic supply of a source. Nor does she have the magic capacity of a wizard. All she wants is to use her humble earth magic to make things grow. But with the mysterious, magic-induced Madness sweeping through the land, society is turning upside down. The Minister of Magic is scrambling to find both the cause and the cure, even naming his own daughter as priestess in an attempt to appease the Goddess of Magic and Mayhem. As the Madness continues to spread, the restrictions on magic increase. Laruu's plans for apprenticeship come to a grinding halt. Not everyone believes the Madness is real. Some think the crisis is contrived. A means of control created by power-hungry ministers. Some such as Laruu's own mother. Her best friend. Her best friend's cute fey cousin. But what if they're wrong? What if the Madness is real? What if that rogue wizard really did have something to do with it? What if the allay-bands are the only things that will keep them safe?THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION.All names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents in this book are either the product of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner.
