Originally meant to be a sort of creepy pasta that didn't really go anywhere, a recent movie clip I saw inspired me to dust off this WIP. You see, in the movie, After Life, Liam Neeson plays a mortuary worker and he gets impatient and snarky with the spirits. Now, knowing what I know about spirits, you need to be patient with them. Especially if they died in a tragic or sudden way. Or if they have an unfinished business, like promising to protect a certain person, mostly a direct descendant such as a grandchild.
