Elemental magic is based upon the four core elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Elemental magic is most prominent in England, where many mages gather to learn and research elemental magic. However, during the early 1500's, the Fire Outbreaks happened. Several various fire mages suddenly swept through and destroyed the smaller cities of England, killing many in their way and leaving no survivors. Due to this the Council of Magic, the governing figure of elemental magic, issued an act - The Anti-Fire Act. This effectively banned any and all use of fire magic within all of England. The Council of Magic was later changed to the Triumvirate in the 1540's, and from then on are set on killing off every last fire mage. Allen Fleming, a 15 year old air mage, wishes to attend the Magical Knights Academy. The academy is where many young, prominent mages attend to improve their use of magic, and eventually become a magical knight. Magical knights are the respected mages who protect the cities of England and keep its citizens safe. But in order to even attend the academy, Allen must first pass the entrance exam.However, Allen's magic is extremely weak and he relies mostly on his physical fighting ability. Air is considered the strongest element within England, and with his lack of air magic prowess, many mages hate and ignore him. With the help of their long-suffering Dad, they write to the Queen but receive a rather stuffy royal rejection brought by a royal coachman. They write to the Prime Minister but receive a slightly confusing official reply from his secretary. So they decide to form a movement - and call it ‘The Pyjama Army… or Pyjamy’. Sending out flyers and badges with enticements to join, they create nationwide publicity aimed at all children, and organise a march in London, like they’ve seen people do on TV.Thousands of children (with adults in tow) wearing, of course, pyjamas (and onesies etc) come together for the march. They fill the streets of the city like a pyjama-clad sea, gathering in enormous throngs outside Buckingham Palace. From here they are moved on by harried policeman, to no.10 Downing Street, where they demand of the Prime Minister that a Law be passed, allowing children to overrule all the grown-up conventions about pyjamas and when they can be worn.
