Billy stared at Max's friend with wide teary eyes. His mom, he stifled a sob, as he remembered. He remembered that day, they'd gone to the beach to surf, and his mom was so delighted , so proud, and Billy was happy. He was happy, and when was the last time he'd been happy? He bit his trembling lip as he closed his eyes, remembering that day. He breathed out shakily as he stood up from his place above Eleven and turned to face the Monster he'd helped create. He watched as it opened its mouth to attack and he raised his hands and caught the blow with a scream of pain. He held it back even as it pierced him on all sides, even as his blood soaked through his shirt. He screamed in defiance as he stared at it, angry at himself for giving into this monster. Then you transferred and came back to Hawkins senior year. Reuniting with him only to find out him and Nancy wheeler where broken up.
