I wrote all of my poems into an actual red book made around 1980 - somebody I knew was clearing out their house and I saved it from being thrown away. I fell in love with its immaculate blood-red faux leather covers and yellowed pages, and I diligently hand-wrote every sordid detail of every dark poem I'd written, once I thought they were 'finalised'. That little red book is now full, so I suppose it could be said to be a finished work.
