The Plain Jane Chronicles
"Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." - Andy WarholA Plain Jane is defined as, 'a girl that is plain, ordinary and not especially memorable or special'; the Merriam dictionary has this definition, 'not fancy or glamorous: ordinary'. But, in one urban dictionary, it is defined as an 'unattractive girl or woman'. One word: average-looking. In this story I will not only be telling you the stories of girls belonging to this classification, but I will also explore the struggles and plight of modern and independent plain Janes, but also their growth. In this journey, I will be sharing the stories and journey of four very different Plain Janes.I. Rule Number 1: "You can't fall in love with me." - is about a popular airhead jock and his brainy, tutor plain Jane - "Don't worry I like smart guys after all."II. First Impressions: "Don't ever fall for me again." - Handsome, smart and cold-hearted guy and the plain Jane he once rejected - "Falling for you was a mistake I never intend to do again."III. The Feminist: "I'll make you fall in love with me" - is about a playboy and a guarded, borderline-sexist plain Jane - "You can die trying, Playboy."IV. The Prince and the Nobody: "You don't like me do you?" - Popular guy and a timid, invisible plain Jane who has no plans of joining his bandwagon of admirers - "I just have no plans of joining your horde."***********The author of this work does not waive her claim of copyright (economic and moral) in this work.
