I just wrote the story.After Arthur's death, merlin has to wait for his reincarnation because the destiny was unfulfilled. He is immortal until Arthur comes again. Out of the ruins of Camelot, he built a school he called hogwarts along with his cofounders: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor. He built what he remembered of Camelot into the school, such as Gius' place and Arthur's room. Merlin also built extra rooms like the room of requirement and built his own home in there.It all started after Camelot fell after Queen Gwens' reign and after Merlin left. Old religion was remembered as old magic and over time only Merlin used it, and it was also known as wandless magic. What the wizards and witches used today is known to Merlin as new magic. The druids died out after Camelot fell, and so only Merlin was left. It was after Voldemort was defeated by Harry and Dumbledore was killed.
