É na segunda era que meu conto se passa, inspirado no estilo realista que peguei de Bernard Corwell (as Crônicas Saxônicas), relata o ataque das forças de Sauron a região de Eriador ( Portos Cinzentos, Montanhas Azuis, Valfenda, Eriador e outros lugares desconhecidos como Tharbad) em busca pelos anéis do poder os quais Celebrimbor estava em posse. Sob a visão de um guerreiro numenoriano que parte junto com os primeiros navios de Númenor em auxilio aos elfos e homens em missões sorrateiras, assim como grandes batalhas ( que são muitas), seu espirito guerreiro luta para ficar em pé em meio a cruel luta contra orcs detalhada de um modo bem próximo. Tentando sempre aproximar o leitor do desespero das batalhas e os muitos encontros inesperados assim como a força da amizade nesses momentos.
