Once Dru thinks he can finally become a real villain all by himself after many years of working with them, he fires Mel, Bob, Kevin, Stuart, Otto, Dave, and all of Gru's once-loyal Minions. Out of a job, the Minions persist and try finding a new boss to work for! But it isn't that easy when many former bad guys are now taking up reform classes, working at the AVL alongside Gru and Lucy, practicing hot yoga, or even just siding with the good guys in general, bumming the Minions out more and more. Without a master, the Minions feel as if no one really...needs them anymore.But one day, however, at a local department store, the Minions spot a TV ad for a certain infamous team of villains: The Vicious 6 (Oh snap, they're back)! The V6 have long since returned from hiding after Gru had stopped them back in the 1970s, and are now setting up shop in a now-modern Criminal Records store. And best of all, their leader, Belle Bottom, is looking for new henchmen!Thrilled with joy that they can finally have a purpose again, the Minions quickly settle into working alongside Belle and the Vicious 6, causing classic Minion mayhem and mischief just like the old days!But once a mysterious and new (yet very familiar) squad of villains hit town, calling themselves The Ferocious 4, half of the Minions start siding with them, unaware that the group is actually made of supervillains from Gru's past: Scarlet Overkill, Vector, El Macho, and Balthazar Bratt!With only Mel, Kevin, Stuart, Bob, Otto, Dave, Jerry, Mark, Phil, Tim, and Donnie left working for Belle, the Vicious 6 and their Minions must work together to stop The Ferocious 4 from "upgrading" the Minions they stole to plan the biggest, villainous heist in the history of evil!…
