Izuku dodged as a wolf-like beast lunged at him.

However, where he was standing, were now three long gashes of his claw.

And what's more, was that his fangs were literally made out of steel.

Steel fanged Raikans

'Yep, a higher E-rank gate. Though this can be lower D-rank one too,' thought Izuku as he took a fighting stance.

Even with the pep talk before, he was getting scared.

But the excitement of fighting something this strong, and his eagerness to prove himself and become strong enough to protect his sister and mother far overpowered the fear.

'I must become strong,' he thought as he charged forward.

'I'll depend on no one,' he thought as he jumped. He was mildly surprised at the height he had jumped to, he almost touched the ceiling, and this wasn't even the best he could do.

'Last time those I depended upon ended up running away,' he thought as he cocked his fist.

'But I'll never run away...'

He was now over the top of the Raikan's head as the Raikan looked up.

'I'll become the pillar everyone can depend upon...'

And he had thrown the punch.

The punch was powerful all right.

The Raikan was slammed into the ground so hard that it cracked.

However, it wasn't enough.

'One hit wasn't enough? Well, I guess I'll have to hit him as much as I can, until it can't get up,' thought Izuku as he punched it on its head over and over again.

The Raikan madly shook its head trying to get him off, but with one final punch, a loud crack was heard, and the Raikan laid there, dead.

"Heh. This took a lot out of me. Guess I am still not that powerful," thought Izuku as he got off its head, panting.

He then turned to see two more Raikans.

"Oh shit, I got this tired just from killing one, and there are more coming already? If only I had a weapon... wait, the inventory!" muttered Izuku as he opened it. And in it, he found the goblin daggers.

He attacked one Raikan with his dagger, which the Raikan bit. And now, his dagger was stuck in between his steel fangs.

'Damn, he isn't called 'Steel Fanged' for anything. He's too strong,' thought Izuku as he pulled out the dagger. But as a result, he was unable to stabilize himself and fell on his butt, as memories from that day surfaced.

'Too strong? No... compared to them, you are all too weak,' he thought as he glared at the wolves.

"You're... too weak."

'Cat from the side,' he thought as he slit both of their throats at once using his dagger.

'And finally, a Raikan from the front.'

'White is for weaker, orange is for equal, red is for stronger. Wow, the system is really user-friendly,' thought Izuku sarcastically.

He then stopped in front of the stairs.

'The thing down there, that is not something I can easily deal with. Maybe it's my sense stat or the fact that I have always been able to tell the strength of my enemies, but this fight is going to be one pain in the ass,' thought Izuku.

He then glanced at the Return stone in his hand.

"Fuck it. No, I haven't come this far to give up. This is my chance to become strong, I don't care if this is a C-rank or even a B-rank gate. I'll live. I want to clear this. No... I need to clear this..." he declared as he started to walk down the stairs.

He was barely able to dodge the next hit as he tried to cut it with the dagger. However, the skin was too sturdy and slippery and the dagger just slid over it.

He was then hit by the Rasaka.

He was tossed away as the snake struck him once again.

"... am..."

He tried to dodge the next attack, but once again, the snake cut a little bit of his left leg just by his scales only.

"... weak"

He was tossed high above into the air.

'Defenseless Izuku'

'Deku'

'That's what I am called my whole life.'

'No matter how wise you are, or how kind you are...'

'... In face of pure strength, it's easy to get betrayed.'

Izuku opened his eyes as he glared straight into Rasaka's eyes.

At that moment, Rasaka hesitated. That glare... it promised death.

The Rasaka's mouth was open.

'Use your brain- No matter how strong the outside defenses are, the inside skin is always soft'

He aimed to drop on the snake's tongue.

'Speed-Quickly position the daggers at the meeting point of the upper and lower... whatever it is. Lips, mouth, whatever.'

'Finally, strength. Use all the power you have to fucking slice the snake in half.'

And with that, Izuku had sliced almost half of the snake into two killing it instantly.
