"stop it!" melanie laughed, covering her face as mason repeatedly took facetime pictures. it had been two weeks since they'd both admitted they felt something during their on-screen kiss and the two have talked non stop. they were constantly on facetime and if they couldn't be on facetime, you better believe they were constantly texting and or snapping. she liked him a lot, he liked her a lot, but neither of them would admit it.

"i'm gonna have no storage after this." mason said, going on pause. melanie assumed it was to check how much storage he actually had left.

"then stop taking pictures and delete all the others ones and then maybe you wouldn't have to worry about your storage." melanie teased, also going on pause. she wasn't checking her storage though, she was texting malachi back. he was off somewhere in california filming something that melanie forgot the name of. she missed her twin, but luckily since he was still in california, he was able to come home on the weekends.

"just because you said that, i'm gonna take more pictures." mason teased back, coming off pause only to be disappointed that melanie was paused as well.

later that night, melanie and mason decided to hangout. so here they were, at chick fil a. she sat in her car until she saw him and that's when she grabbed her purse and headed towards him.

"hi!" she said, grabbing his attention. she put her purse on her shoulder.

"hey!" he pulled her into a hug before heading towards the door. they walked in and they ordered separately and paid separately because this wasn't a date. she wouldn't have let him pay for her. she hated when other people paid for her. they both got their food and then walked over to a table.

"did i ever tell you that i did end up watching that interview?" mason asked her, putting his straw into his drink.

melanie hums. "which one? there's been two that's come out since we started filming." there was one with the stranger things cast and there was one with the outer banks cast.

"both of them. but, the one that you asked miguel and maddy to watch." he tells her.

she almost melted. she appreciated that he took the time to watch the interview even though they didn't like each other when the video came out. she kept her head down until mason asked her why.

"i'm blushing and i don't want you to see it and boost your ego." she giggled, hoping that she didn't just make it totally awkward.

"that's cute." he smirked, which only caused her to blush more.

"stopppp!" she laughs, placing her face in her hands to hide.

after melanie gave mason a ride home, she drove home herself. when she walked into her room she was surprised to see scarlett and malachi sitting on her bed, waiting for her.

"well, this isn't creepy at all." she sighed, hanging her purse up onto the hook next to her door. she kicked off her shoes.

"oh shut up, tells us everything!" scarlett squealed, pulling melanie to sit next to them on the bed.

"if i'm supposed to shut up, how am i supposed to tell you everything?" melanie asked sarcastically. sarcasm was a big part of who melanie was. it was one of the reasons everyone loved her as much as they did.

"there's not much to tell, we just hung out." she told them, picking out her pajamas since it was already almost nine.

"oh come on. there isn't one thing you aren't gonna forget about tonight?" scarlett continued to push. she knew melanie was lying. her and malachi knew melanie better than melanie knew melanie.

"he told me that he watched my interviews even though we hated each other when they came out." melanie knew she wasn't getting out of this, so she just had to tell them.

"that's kinda cute." malachi admitted, which caused melanie to give him a weird look.

"that's really sweet." scarlett smiled. scarlett was already in her pajamas. melanie assumed that she was staying over when she walked in and scarlett was on her bed, in her pajamas, at nine at night.

"yeah yeah, now get out so i can change." melanie pointed towards her door. malachi obviously listened because if he didn't that would just be creepy.
