"Thank God, you're okay. Right?" Timber sounds relieved as she asks, and she starts to take audible deep breaths.
"I'm okay, Timber. We're on our way home." I reply.
"Do you need me to prepare anything for you? A warm bath perhaps for Mr Harris." I look at Justin as Timber continues and he looks at the caller ID and at me.
"No, Timber. That's alright. I'll do it when I get there. Thank you Timber. You can have some rest now, and my apologies for startling you." I continue sincerely. Just because you are above someone with the work status, it doesn't mean that they don't deserve some respect, politeness and sincerity. Especially when they're kind to you.
"Goodnight, mam. Sir." At this Timber ends the call.
Yet another silence arises, but I aim on using this one in a way it can benefit me. I am going over to Bridget's house and I am going to settle whatever they think might happen here. I will make it even clearer to them that I will not be sharing my husband with anyone, especially Bridget. Lord will forgive me, but I will climb on top of her parents' heads if I have to. I quickly turn the steering wheel, causing the car to make a rushing sound.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to have us killed?" Justin freaks out as he wakes up from a nap he just recently took by just closing his eyes. He closes them back again after a sigh.
After five minutes I am driving through Bridget's home after being let in by her parents. They are greatly shook, but I am here to set some boundaries. As soon as I park my car, I notice Bridget's parents approaching. I furiously get down the car, slamming the door as hard as I can.
"Where is she?" I yell.
"Elena, dear. It's too late for you to be out here driving and looking this stressed." Mrs Will says, and I chuckle unbelievably.
"How am I supposed to be Mr and Mrs Will when your daughter has aimed to turn my life and engagement into her toy. I want her now to tell me what she did to my man." I shout. Justin gets down the car as I hear him slam the door and the next thing he is behind me trying to caress me, but I restrain.
"Brigdet is not here." Mr Will replies. "She moved out today. I thought you knew." He continues. I turn shook. Knew? Why would I know that first of all? I turn to Justin who has his hands on his face.
"Elena, let's just go home. Please, I have no energy for this." Justin airs. "Not tonight. Please." He continues, heading back to the car.
I look at Mr and Mrs Will's stern faces and I am wondering where Bridget could have possibly moved out to. She has no apartment or house. That's why when she was not at her home she was at Justin's place. I don't understand.
"Can you give me her address?" I inquire.
"Really!" Justin exclaims. "We leave or I leave without you. You can stay here and look for Brigdet all you want. What I know is that my kids are not going to like that." He continues as he gets in the car, this time in the driver's seat.
I look darely at Mr and Mrs Will, and I nod to say, "My apologies for intruding." I make my way.
It even slips my mind that the reason I got on the road in the first place it's because of Justin's drunk self, I let him drive as it is my time to drown in my own mind. I have so many questions right now. If Justin still wanted to marry me, he would have done it by now. Ever since the whole false accusations, I don't really know where our engagement stands. Is it at the edge of breaking off or should I still hold on to my hope. This is one of the reasons I hate secrets. If only Justin can talk to me and I can be able to defend myself, the air could be cleared and he could have a real image of what's really going on.
