some of his newer video games I haven't had a chance to play yet. Is that alright? Is there something you can find to do?" He asked earnestly.

"Oh, yeah. I should probably go find Becca and see about our apartment situation. I guess I'll leave you boys til later." I flashed a smile at him.

"Let me walk you out babe," He gently grabbed my arm and walked me to the door. Once we were well out of earshot of Will his expression became drastically more serious. "There is something off about Will. He's clearly hiding something. I mean, you guys are best friends, yet you don't know his parents? There seems to be a lot you don't know about him. I don't want you to worry, it may be nothing. I just want to make sure he's not dangerous. I'm going to try to find out what he's hiding. And don't say I shouldn't, because I'm going to anyway. I need to make sure you're safe." He quickly spewed. Once his little speech was done he gave me a speedy kiss on the lips and suddenly I was alone on the threshold.

My head was spinning. So now my best friend and my boyfriend were suspicious of each other. Oh boy. My legs began carrying me automatically to my car as I thought about what just happened. Jaime had a point I guess. I'd recently thought about how little I truly knew about Will, so I guess it makes sense that he would reach that conclusion. But I knew he couldn't be behind any of the crap happening to me because he was Will. He was my best friend.

And Will had a point about Jaime too. I didn't really know much about him either. But wasn't that what dating was all about: getting to know each other? Still, I couldn't say he was totally insane for thinking what he did.

What was with me being around people I didn't know well? I should make everyone I spend time with tell me everything about themselves. Bam, problem solved. My eyes rolled.

My body slid into my car smoothly and turned the ignition on. I checked my message from Becca with the address of where she was currently staying, plugged it into the GPS and headed off. She was staying near campus with an old friend, apparently. It was hard to believe all that stuff happened with Will so quickly; one minute it seemed things with them were really good and the next they were over. Of course, I wasn't complaining much. I'd never liked the idea of them together, but I couldn't help feeling bad about what happened. Becca and I had gotten closer lately and she didn't deserve to be hurt like that.

Finally the apartment building came into view. After parking against the curb I ran up to the apartment and knocked. The door swung open to reveal Becca's auburn hair. She looked around me with wide eyes, looking for something. I was suddenly jerked into the apartment by my arm. The door slammed behind me, and suddenly I was being hugged ferociously.

"OMG Annalee! I was so worried about you! I wanted to tell you right when I found out but I was afraid what he would do if he knew I told you. I'm so sorry! I didn't know until last night--" I held up a hand to stop her.

"What are you talking about?" She seemed terrified of something.

She leaned in conspiratorially and whispered the words that were about to set off a terrible chain of events.

"Will's not who we thought he was."
