Cassi laughed with a twist of her nose that would make Narcissa proud.
"Shut up, Harry," Sighed, already tired of all this.
"Fine, fine, it's your choice," she said dryly, "but unless we find more Thestrals, you won't be able to..."
"Oh, more will show up," Ginny said confidently, who, like Ron, was trying to see in the opposite direction, apparently thinking she was looking at the horses.
"Why do you think that?" Harry asked.
"We know that Hagrid attracts Thestrals with raw meat. That's probably why these two appeared."
Luna said that at least six or seven Thestrals were cautiously approaching through the trees.
"No more excuses, scaredy-cat," Cassi smiled.
"All right," he said grumpily, "Everyone grab your Thestral and let's go, then."
Cassi, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny watched their friends mount the creatures.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked.
"How do you expect us to ride?" Ron asked weakly. "If we can't see these things?"
"Oh, it's easy," Luna said, willingly getting off her Thestral and walking to the group.
"Cassiopeia, Hermione, and Ginny, come here..."
Luna led them to the other Thestrals that were standing still and helped her friends, one by one, to mount them. The four seemed extremely nervous as the girl wrapped their hands in the creatures' manes and told them to hold on tight; then she returned to her own mount.
"This is madness," Ron muttered, awkwardly running his free hand over the horse's neck.
"Madness... if only I could see the beast..."
"You better wish it remains invisible," Harry said darkly.
"We're ready, then?" Everyone confirmed.
"Ministry of Magic, visitor's entrance, London," Harry said aloud.
For a moment, her Thestral didn't react; then, with a wide movement that almost dismounted him, it took off.
Cassi felt panic for a moment, holding onto a creature she couldn't see. She just held on tightly and prayed to the gods not to fall.
The Thestral zoomed over the castle, the cold air whipping at her face; eyes squinted against the wind.
She looked to the sides and saw her six companions each flattened as much as possible on what she assumed was the Thestral's neck to protect themselves from the whirlwind of air produced by the beast.
In the distance, she saw the sun setting and hoped that if Harry was right, it wasn't too late. She couldn't bear to lose Sirius.
