safe...for now." You hissed. He looked nervous again, but he nodded quickly.

"Noted." Hiccup took the brew and carried it over to Toothless. He hesitated. "Hey, we can always wait for the effect of the arrows to wear off and hope they don't find us before then, but that could take quite a while. It's up to you, Hiccup. But I would suggest you lose your paranoia. It's a terrible existence. And it's not you." Hiccup sighed and gave it to Toothless. Toothless jumped up wriggling and roaring.

"Toothless, are you okay? Toothless!" Toothless collapsed and Hiccup glared at Dagur. "What did you do!?" Dagur looked stunned and unsure. "C'mon, C'mon, stay with me, bud!" You glared at Dagur.

"I knew you were still with the Hunters!" You growled.  Dagur tried to see if Toothless was okay, but Hiccup lashed out.

"YOU STAY AWAY FROM HIM!"

"Hiccup, I didn't know! You have to believe me!" Hiccup lashed out, tackling him. Unfortunately, he tackled him out of the cave! You gasped and rushed after the two.

"Hiccup!!" You needed to get down to them. You groaned in frustration before jumping down after them. You hit the water before pulling yourself up onto the shore. You coughed for a moment before looking around for the two. You saw them up ahead...with Hunters around them. Great.

You took out your weapons and tried to sneak up behind them. You were about to go in for a strike, but one of them spotted you.

"Oi! It's the girl!" He turned around. You glared at him and did a backflip, kicking him hard in the chin and sending him flying. You got ready for a fight.

"(Y/n), no!" Hiccup warned, but you ignored him. You're not taking him from me. They came at you. You dodged two of them, taking them down swiftly, but they didn't stay down, unfortunately. You kept fighting, but one of them got one of your weapons away from you. You growled in anger. You took your remaining weapon and twisted the middle of it. It turned into a deadly staff. You spun it around like a windmill and the men seemed less willing to face you now.

You continued to fight, but then you felt something hit your side. You were thrown back into a tree. You collapsed, your head spinning and your ears ringing. You yelped as you were grabbed by the collar of your shirt. You glared at the Hunter leader.

"You're good, but you're not that good." You glared at him and struggled as he dragged you over and threw you onto the ground.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Hiccup shouted, but they ignored him. They tied your hands together and forced you back onto your feet.

"Come on, ya bratty lassie." You glared at the man who said that, but he just smirked at your anger. They forced the three of you onto your knees near a fire.

"We're going to find that dragon, so it's only a matter of time. Why don't you make it easier, on everyone?" The three of you stayed silent. "Maybe this will burn a hole in your memory." The took Hiccup and showed him the Dragon Hunter's brand. They held it closer to him. "Now, you'll be part of the Dragon Hunters forever!" Hiccup struggled, but you couldn't watch.

"No! Stop! Leave him alone!" You shouted. They turned toward you. The leader grinned.

"Sir?"

"I have a better idea." You swallowed hard. Uh oh. He picked you up and held you in place. He took a knife and held it up. Hiccup's eyes widened as he realized what they were going to do. "For every wrong answer, the blade goes deeper." He pressed it against your arm, not breaking the skin yet. You glared at him.

"You're bluffing!" It pressed it your skin and you yelped. Hiccup struggled.

"No!" They paused.

"Well?" He didn't say anything, but it was clear that the choice was tearing him apart. The blade went deeper. Tears formed in your eyes as you cried out. Hiccup shut his eyes tight, unable to watch. You didn't want him to say where Toothless was, but the knife hurt and you didn't know how long you'd last like this. The man growled and decided to try a bit harder.

"Alright, if you won't say anything after that, we'll try this!" He punched you in the gut before tossing you. You tumbled, unable to catch yourself. He picked you up again and punched you in the jaw. You collapsed, your lip bleeding now as well.

"Stop it!" Hiccup practically begged. You'd never heard him sound so desperate.

"Tell us where that dragon is!" The leader demanded. You still had a bit of fight left in you.

"N-no!" You coughed, sitting up. "I'd rather die!" You hissed. He growled angrily at you and raised his fist to punch you again. You braced for it, but Dagur cut in.

"Okay! Enough! Enough! I'll take you to the Night Fury!" He told them.

"No, Dagur!" Hiccup exclaimed.

"Don't tell them!" You agreed. He stopped, grinning.

"Take a few more men with you! Just in case!" He shoved you and Hiccup down by the fire. Dagur hurried over, but then he used the fire to burn the ropes and free himself.

"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! Hurry, hurry, hurry!" Hiccup said as he grabbed a sword. Dagur looked at the other men and then back at you two.

"Sorry, brother! You'd just slow me down!" You were shocked as he ran off.

"YOU'RE A FAKE, DAGUR! A FAKE! I HATE YOU! YOU HEAR ME? I HATE YOU!" Hiccup screamed after him.

"Forget him! He's worthless! These two will take us to the Night Fury. We'll come for Dagur later, put an end to his miserable life." They forced you along toward the shore where their ship was waiting.

"Last chance! You wanna help that dragon? Help yourself?" He asked.

"I'll die before I talk!" Hiccup said defiantly. You nodded.

"Then die you shall! Viggo will see to that. Take them! Move!" Suddenly you heard a sound. You turned and saw Dagur riding...Toothless?! Toothless blasted the guards and you both smiled as they arrived.

"Easy dragon!" Suddenly, you heard another roar. You saw Nightshade flying beside them. You were shocked.

"How did they get Nightshade!?"

"I have no idea, but I don't think I've ever been happier to see Dagur with dragons!" Soon, they landed and Toothless and Nightshade scared off the leader of the group.

"Bud! It's good to see you too!" Toothless nuzzled Hiccup happily. Nightshade came over to you and bit through your ropes.

"That's my girl."

"Found her on the fly here. She wasn't that well guarded, actually." You looked at Dagur and walked over to him. You now realized that he'd saved Hiccup, Toothless, Nightshade, and your life. You hugged him and he stood there, shocked.

"Thank you for repaying what you owed me, Dagur." He smiled and hugged back, picking you up as he squeezed you, cracking your back in the process.

"You're welcome. Besides, can't have Hiccup and Toothless without you and Nightshade if you know what I mean." He hinted quietly. You blushed.

"Don't push your luck, Dagur." You warned. He took a step back.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Then he smiled. "But seriously, think about it." You rolled your eyes as he walked over and freed Hiccup.

"I have no idea how you two stomach that, by the way." Hiccup shook his hand before hugging Toothless.

"Oh, Toothless! It's good to have you back! Now, what do you say we show him how it's done?" Toothless grumbled in agreement. "Come on, (Y/n)!" You followed after him as you both took to the air and attacked the ship together. You both followed one of the Hunters into the forest. "They're so much tougher when they have you chained up, huh bud?"

"No kidding." You all went back and looked for Dagur. He was gone.

"Wait, where did he go?" You both looked for him, but he was gone. Toothless grumbled.

"Yeah, we owe him one. Besides, maybe he'll get to Viggo before we do."

"Come on, let's get back to the Edge." You told him as you both turned around and headed back together. You still weren't certain about Dagur, but you had meant what you said. He had repaid the blood he owed you...by saving the person you loved most along with your dragons and yourself. Thank you, Dagur. Maybe...you really have changed.
