"Look in the box Brook, you deserve one as much as Adam does, and they are new, reflecting our new Pride name and location." Anna said, her excitement hard for her to contain, I had to remember that she was still eighteen years younger than I was and sometimes she still had the enthusiasm of youth.

Brook opened the box and gasped at the two new Pack Friend necklaces. She passed the masculine one to Adam, and pulled on the other one, "Thank you!" It was their first one, but they were very valuable, as they were very rarely given out.

"That egg is very special, I think Mark had it commissioned, since he feels that strongly about how much you've assisted us." She said happily before standing up and giving Brook a tight hug. "You have done so much to assist us in getting established that there is no thanks that we can give you that can possibly repay that debt."

Brook grinned at the younger female, hugging her back, "The best thanks you can is to flourish, and if needed, helping our new offshoot pack. We are quite far away, so if they need immediate assistance, they will be calling you."

Anna laughed softly, "I know that much, Mark and his father consider Alexander to be family, and you know how important family is to us." Anna replied and I could tell that she was thinking of something. "One thing is possible though, perhaps we could have Master Boris Nikolayevich train one of your wolves in how to make eggs, though it would take decades of study and practice." Anna mused as she hugged Brook.

Brook nodded, "That would work... I don't think we have any trained jewellers. I wouldn't be surprised if we had some interested, though."

I smiled at the byplay between the two, "Adam I have one more thing, though I don't know whether they should stay here, or go to you." As I said that the door to the office and Sergi who was carrying his little brother Ivan, and Jasmine who was also carrying a cub, came into the office.

Jasmine stopped for a moment and then dashed over to Adam and hugged him, "Alpha... it was... horrible what they did to my mate."

He pulled Jasmine close and hugged her, "I have heard some, and enough that he was hurt bad. He's going to need your support."

Jasmine nodded, "Alpha I miss the pack, but I know that if I take Sergi, Georgi and Yankov away from here it's going to hurt them badly." She said while hugging him, and I could see tears in her eyes.

Adam nodded, "Discuss it with your mate, and Beth. You need to decide where to live. I can't decide whether you stay here or come to the pack. You'd be welcome to split the time as well."

She nodded before the four-year-old cub in her arms looked up at Adam, "You doggy like momma?"

Adam laughed at the little kitten, "Most wolves don't like being called doggie, but yes, I am the leader, we're called Alpha."

I smiled as the cub looked at Jasmine before letting go of her and holding his arms out to Adam, silently asking to be picked up. "Adam he can feel your dominance and it is reassuring to him, he feels safe, and after what happened to him and the other orphaned cubs, that is something they need."

Adam nodded, and picked them up and cuddles them, feeling how hurt they were mentally.

I watched both Adam and Brook, Sergi having gone over to Brook with his brother and sought a hug from her. He ended up being sandwiched between Brook and Anna on one of the two couches in the office. "Adam how about we sit on the other couch, Jasmine and Yankov need this time as much as Sergi and Georgi do."

Adam nodded, "We're spending the night, and I'm thinking that they're going to need to spend it with us." Softly sitting down, he pulled the others in close to give them some comfort.

I joined him and did my best to comfort Jasmine and Yankov while my mate and Adam's mate did pretty much the same thing with Sergi and Georgi. "Later Adam, when everyone is feeling better Anna and I will show you around this house, but for now, let's just try and make our people feel a bit better." I said while giving Jasmine's shoulders a massage. "The one thing that I'd like to think is that something wonderful was born from that awful day three months ago, Jasmine and Sergi... they probably would never have met had she not been with Zane's group." I felt a slight shake from Jasmine and I could feel her crying at that thought.

Adam smiled, "I have noticed lots of times it is chance meetings for mates, often they go somewhere new and wham! They have a mate!"

I nodded, while hugging Jasmine, "Yes, I don't think either was expecting their mate to be from a different species, but nor do I think they'd have it any other way." I finished as I felt Jasmine shake her head.

"Now that I have him, I wouldn't have anybody else. He's perfect for me Pride Lord, he fulfills every need that I have and can be a lot of fun." She gave a wicked little laugh that told me all that I needed to know.

"I don't need the details Jasmine, I already know how much fun it can be to spend time with my own mate." I quickly stated while looking over at Anna.

Adam and Brook shared a look before laughing as well. "Well," Adam said, "You have two homes now, up here and down at Wild Valley. Also, you will soon have bonds with Ice Lake, so would be able to have the option of moving there as well. The decision is yours, and we won't pressure you at all."

Jasmine nodded, "Thanks Alpha, my Sergi was so afraid that I'd reject him when I found him. I guess that he'd been taught that wolves and cats can never be mates."

Adam and Brook both sighed at that, before Brook replied to that one, "It isn't that often that you have a cat and a wolf that are mates, it is true, but it does happen. Usually, you find your mate in your kind."

Adam turned to Sergi, "You are welcome, and Shawn would love another cat down with us. We stomp hard on any discrimination, as we don't tolerate it, even from the pups."

Sergi looked up from where he was sitting, wedged between Brook and Anna and smiled, "Thank you Alpha, I will need to discuss it with my mate and my Pride Matriarch. I am still learning to be a Protector and if I left my Pride now... I would feel that I hadn't done my job, though from what Jasmine has told me, she feels the same way."

I nodded, "That's the issue Adam, how do we balance their needs and desires?" I asked, "Either way won't be easy. Once he regains his confidence I feel that Sergi will make a good patrol lead, though only time will tell."

Adam nodded, turning to look at both Mark and Anna, "Maybe talk to the elders, if there is a way they could be in both?" He could feel they liked both, and neither wanted to leave. "It would be one way that they could have two homes."

"Yes, that might be the only solution Adam, I would hate to lose a Pride member now, not with our Pride feeling so much pain in the bonds from the losses incurred by Vlad and his... psychos." I answered, before standing up and smiling as Altair and Caspian came into the room, Caspian looking around and making a soft sound. "Cas wants to know if you brought your Companions." I said with a smile, "I know you did, but I just don't know where they've gotten themselves off too now perhaps you could tell my two troublemakers and they can get reacquainted."

Adam laughed, "Charlie is off running, after being cooped up for the last three hours, he's running off his energy. He should be back soon. Apollo is flying around following him."

I laughed as both Caspian and Katyusha both went over to the latch that had been built into the window for them and activated it before flying off to meet Adam and Brook's Companions, the Wolf-Dogs also took off, taking the route that they knew well. "Well they should catch up with them shortly." I commented, "Would you like me to show you around?"

Adam smiled, "Sure!"

I laughed and stood up guiding my friend out of the office, I had plenty to show him, plenty to be proud of about our home. It wasn't anything like his own Packhouse, then again as cats we weren't anything like his wolves.

After showing him around the entire house Anna and I left him to his own devices for a while, he needed to spend some time with his family while I spent that same time with my family.
