workings of the Baldy Hughes Radar Station and the Airport and its main runway."

Olaf rose slightly from his sitting position and I could see that his fingers were starting to change and sprout claws. "You mean that we had a damned... spy in our midst?" He almost roared.

I closed my eyes and used my power, as his Pride Lord to encourage him to calm down, "If the uniforms that I found in the locked wardrobe closet in his office didn't confirm it the citations I have for his Order of Lenin and Order of the Red Banner probably do."

Shanna laid her hand on her mate's arm, working to calm him down before she softly stated. "He may not have been all that dominant but Vladimir was obviously a master of manipulation and subterfuge."

I nodded slightly. "From what I gathered on his computer, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union his membership in the KGB was lost when it reformed into the modern FSB." I surmised. "Since then it appears that he's been working on his own personal agenda, though I have gotten some hints that Bagrovyy molotki is involved somehow."

Olaf sat down and then looked at me closely, "Mark, if the Crimson Hammers are still in operation I would be very, very careful about what you and Anna decide to do after you finish renovating this place. That group is not something to be underestimated."

Shanna nodded, "During the October Revolution they caused many deaths among those cats, and wolves, who were still loyal the idea of a free and modern Russia. We were lucky to escape with our lives, though it did take a great deal of effort. We had to cross China before leaving for Canada through the British Port City of Hong Kong." She told me as I noticed that Tanya had decided to have yet another nap in my lap.

"Yes," I mused softly, "This complicates matter more than they already were. I may call upon your knowledge of him and that group since there is obviously more going on than first appears. Vladimir was definitely more than simply a provocateur and egomaniacal disturber of the peace." I told them as I closed my eyes and tried not to think of all the questions that my new discoveries raised.

"We understand Mark, and don't take anything for granted Mark, those people are genuinely dangerous and will stop at nothing in the support of their goals." Olaf told me.

I gave a soft chuckle, "When I learned what I was becoming I didn't think that the Were world was this complicated and filled with all these shades of grey, but I guess that your people are as capable of duplicity and subterfuge as normal humans eh?"

Shanna nodded, "Yes, and there are times in the past when we've paid for it with our lives."

"Anyways I should get going, I have a lot to do now. We need to get ready for the arrival of more of our cats, and we have to figure out a way to move the heavy equipment here without the humans figuring out what we're up to." I told them standing up and stretching a bit before heading out the door.
