"But what about her warning?" Amel protests. "If we don't solve her riddle, then-"
"We don't have time to solve a riddle," Alex argues. "And we can't trust her."
"Look," I say, already trying to pull apart her words to make some inkling of sense. "If there is someone else to save, then either Xaxias will have them locked up on the same floor as Clare is, or he'll present her in the throne room. Either way, we'll get them."
"Darius-"
"We'll get them." Winston doesn't continue to argue and no one else follows.
Visha pushed more buttons in the span of a few minutes than should be possible. She got into my head and did it expertly to where I know that her voice will be in my head from here on out.
I'm tired, I'm frustrated, and I'm this close to storming into the castle and getting Clare, Hira, and anyone else out by any means necessary. I don't know how I'm going to sleep, but I'm sure Lance can hit me hard enough to do the job.
