CHAPTER 1

   *step**step**step*

   I stopped for a moment while facing the gate of this school. It was a large school consist of thousands of students. The only place where normals and Esper join together. EXTERMINATION, this school was made 5 years ago and I was 15 yrs. old that time.

   I now decided to enter but I stopped again after setting foot inside. The ominous sound of the wind was the first thing that welcomed me. I took a deep breath and scan the area. It seems like a normal school if you'll just take a look at the students faces.

   I walked towards the Guide's Office to get my student guide paper. It consist of anything we wanted to know about this school, the rules and regulations, the schedules, and lastly, one of the important information that was written on the first page, my identity and my first task.

   "Welcome to EXTERMINATION! May you survive and have fun during your stay." The staff said and I just looked at her weirdly but still smiled after. That's one of a unique greetings I've heard. I chuckled.

   "Thank you." Sabi ko at tumayo na tsaka lumabas habang bitbit ang aking student guide paper. Nakalagay ang mga picture at pangalan ng mga targets ko for my first task kaya medyo di ako mahihirapan mamaya.

   If normal universities have entrance exams, dito naman ay may isang task kang gagawin para makapasok, if you failed, they'll kill you right away. Pero kaya mong iwasan ang task unless malapit ang pamilya mo sa nakakataas. In short, you should be rich or have power to do that.

   "You're one of the rookies?" I immediately looked back para malaman kung ako ba yung tinatanong and I was right.

   "Yep." Sagot ko naman.

   "Tsk. Proceed to the ground. The first task were about to start." Sabi nito at umalis din agad. Can't he see na papunta na ako doon?

   Di nagtagal ay nakarating na rin ako sa ground. There were lots of students. So it's true that they collect 5 thousand students every year. Ganito pala kami karami? It says here that there were 3500 Esper and only 1500 normals. No wonder, we're overpopulated.

   I looked around to see if may makikilala ba ako pero wala talaga. Kunsabagay ay wala naman akong kaibigan talaga mula nung bata pa ako. I wander my eyes again and saw a familiar figure pero nawala agad at hindi ko na nasundan. I can't help but smile. Malapit na lang. I'll definitely get it back.

    "A pleasant day to all students who are about to take the first task. I know some of you already have an idea of what you should do. Since everything was already written on your student guide which is yang mga papel na hawak ninyo. I can see that some of you were excited. So, I won't let you all wait anymore! Let the first task, begins!" Pag anunsiyo ng President of the University and all of us clapped and get ourselves ready.

   Unti-unti ay napalibutan na ng mataas na pader and buong ground. It immediately turned into a battle field. Nagkaroon din kami ng mga marka sa leeg. This mark on our neck symbolizes that they have control of our life while we're inside this battle field. Kaya nga dapat ay gawin ang task dahil kung hindi, ito yung papatay sa amin.

    "Oh." Napaatras ako nang may sumulpot din na pader sa gilid ko. I see, it's a maze. So this won't be easy as I thought. We have 6 hours to complete the task.

    "AHHHHH!" Napalingon ako sa aking kaliwa nang may narinig akong sigaw. So other students already started, huh? Tiningnan ko ang dala kong student guide kanina. I have.. 10 targets. I chuckled in disbelief. They gotta be kidding me. Less than 6 hours and 10 targets? Well, this isn't a big problem. The only problem is that..

   "Hey, hey, hey." Napalingon agad ako sa aking likod at nakita ang isang babaeng nakangisi habang nakatingin sa akin. Just what I thought. Most of them already have eyes on me. Especially if I'm one of their targets. Kalmado lang akong nakatingin sa babaeng ito habang pinapaikot ikot niya ang kanyang bitbit na punyal.

    "Hmm? Acting brave, I see. HAHAHA!" Sabi nito at pinosisyon ang sarili na para bang aatakihin ako. Hinanda ko rin ang aking sarili pero bago pa siya makagalaw ay may sumulpot na naman na isang estudyante.

    "Gotcha!" Sabi naman nung bagong dating at sila yung naglaban. I took that opportunity and escape. I ran as fast as I could. Madami akong nakitang nagpapatayan but still manage to get away. I saw an isolated part kaya doon ako tumungo at nagpahinga.

    I catch my breath and looked at the time. Isang oras pa lang ang nakakalipas at wala pang nakaka kumpleto ng task. I still haven't killed one because my targets seems to be good at hiding. But again, that's not a big problem. The only problem is that, I'm one of the easiest target they see.

   *crack*

    Agad akong naging alerto nung marinig kong may papalapit sa kinatatayuan ko. It's kinda dark so I can't clearly see the face of that person.

    "Found you." I looked at the woman who's looking at me with her evil face. An Esper again. I looked at my paper and saw that she's one of my target since her picture was there. I compose myself so that I'm ready to fight if she suddenly attack me.

    "Looks like.. I can't go anywhere." Sabi ko and stepped a little bit getting close to her.

    "Talaga namang wala ka nang pupuntahan. Just accept your faith. After all, all of you were born to be weak and loser. Am I right, normie?" She smirked and run off towards me while ready to slash her sword directly to my neck. Oh, right. That was the real problem. I'm just... a normal.
