"Maybe... still makes me curious."

Shockwave locked onto a target, his railgun humming with energy.

"Then let's see what they look like."

BOOM.

The shot blasted through a ninja's helmet, shattering it into pieces.

And then, their eyes widened. Underneath the broken helmet. A face stared back at them.

Jen's face.

But this wasn't their Jen.

This version was empty—soulless.

"What the hell?" Kevin muttered, stepping back in shock.

Gwen's fingers flickered with magic. "Statua!"

A wave of energy pulsed outward, freezing every ninja in place. The group wasted no time.

They ripped off helmet after helmet, only to reveal—

More Jens. Every. Single. One.

Kevin's throat went dry. "Uh... Michael? Jen? Get over here!"

In an instant, Michael blurred across the battlefield, carrying Jen in his arms.

He came to a halt beside Gwen, setting Jen down just as she caught sight of the clones.

Her breath hitched. Her hands shook as she reached for another ninja's helmet,  and removed it.

Another Jen. Her own empty, lifeless face stared back at her.

"No..." Jen moved faster now, yanking off helmet after helmet, each one revealing another twisted version of herself.

Her heart pounded in her chest. Michael clenched his fists. "This raises some questions..."

Kevin, still in disbelief, shook his head. "Yeah... like when the hell did Jen learn ninjutsu?"

Gwen's gaze darkened. "It makes sense now," she murmured, glancing at Michael. "That's why they never attacked you."

The realization sank in. These ninjas weren't just mindless soldiers. They were Jen.

Eon's voice tore through the battlefield, a scream filled with pure hatred. "I WILL KILL YOU, JEN TENNYSON!"

A massive beam of crackling purple energy tore through the air, heading straight for Jen.

But this time, Michael didn't hesitate.

His eyes flashed with fury as he raised his hand, energy crackling at his fingertips.

"Chaos Spear!" A brilliant golden spear of raw chaos energy shot forward, tearing through Eon's attack like it was paper.

The spear connected, striking Eon directly in the face.

"NO! DON'T LOOK AT ME!" Eon stumbled back, clutching their mask, their voice suddenly filled with panic.

their next words froze the battlefield.

"ANYBODY BUT MICHAEL!" The group's eyes widened.

That voice, it wasn't distorted. It wasn't robotic.

It was feminine.

It was familiar.

It was... Jen's voice.

Eon fell to her knees, desperately reaching for the shattered remains of her helmet.

But before she could grab them, Jen moved.

With a swift, firm grip, she grabbed Eon's hands and forced them down.

The broken mask fell away.

And beneath it, a face was revealed. A face identical to Jen's.

A cold silence fell over the battlefield.

Eon was a Jen.

Jen's own eyes trembled as she stared at her counterpart.

The group was speechless. Kevin took a step back. "No way..."

Michael's fists tightened. Gwen's breath caught in her throat.

Jen, still gripping Eon's wrists, whispered the only words she could form.

"What... are you?"

Eon's glowing purple eyes burned with fury.

Her voice, though shaken, spat back like venom.

"I am you."

Eon fired another beam, aiming straight for Jen's heart.

But before it could connect, Michael moved.

With a flash of speed, he grabbed Jen, pulling her out of harm's way.

He let her down gently before turning to face Eon. His eyes, filled with confusion, locked onto her. "Jen...?"

Eon's entire body tensed.

Then-

SLAM!

She punched the ground, her fists shaking, her voice cracking with raw emotion.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" she cried out, her voice filled with rage and pain.

She refused to look at Michael. She refused to see the face that haunted her.

Eon whirled back toward Jen, hands burning with purple energy, preparing to attack—

But then—

Jen's voice cut through the air like a blade.

"What happened to you?"

Eon froze. She laughed.

A twisted, broken, hysterical laugh.

But as the laughter echoed, her body began to tremble.

Tears began to fall freely.

Her glowing eyes were no longer filled with pure hatred—

They were filled with grief.

"I lost everything!" she sobbed, her voice filled with unbearable pain.

Her body shook violently as she clenched her fists.

"I lost the Ultimatrix... I lost Venom..."

Eon collapsed to her knees, gripping her hair.

"I lost Lilly and Maria... my children..."

Jen's breath hitched. Children?

Eon slammed her head into the ground, the impact cracking the stone beneath her.

Michael's heart pounded.

Eon whispered the final blow. A whisper so soft, so broken, that it shattered the air like glass.

"I lost my Michael."

A surge of purple energy exploded around her, fueled by heartbreak.

Eon's power surged, the air around her distorting from sheer energy.

Her screams echoed with raw fury—and unbearable sorrow.

"I GOT MY REVENGE!" she shrieked, her voice cracking as energy pulsed violently.

Everyone stepped back. They could feel it. Eon wasn't just angry.

She was breaking.

Tears ran down her face, but she didn't wipe them away.

"I killed them all!" she sobbed. Her breath hitched. Her hands shook. "Everyone who took them away from me... I killed them!"

The energy exploded outward. Cracks formed beneath her feet.

But then—

Her voice wavered. Her rage flickered. "But... I wasn't happy..." Her body trembled violently.

Her hands clawed at her chest as if trying to rip the pain out. "I didn't get my children back...!"

Her voice was hoarse. "I didn't get my family...!"

Jen's stomach twisted.

Eon's eyes,  they weren't just filled with hate. They were filled with loss.

Then, she whispered the worst of all. "I didn't get my Michael back...! I lost my world!"

Then, she laughed.

It was twisted. Insane. The kind of laugh that made your blood run cold.

Eon's grief twisted into something monstrous.

Her tears were still falling. But her smile. It was wrong. Broken.

Her body shook violently as she ran her fingers through her hair, tugging at it, her laughter growing more unstable.

"I—I promised myself!" she gasped between laughs.

Her eyes snapped back to Jen.

"If I suffered—" Her pupils dilated. "EVERY Jen should suffer!"

The air grew thick with murderous intent. "I'll make sure every Jen feels what I felt!"

Her smile widened, sickeningly. "I'll take them away!"

Jen's breath hitched.

Eon's hands clenched into fists. "If I can't have them..."

Her eyes burned with obsession. Then, she grinned. "NOBODY CAN."

A wave of raw energy erupted, sending everyone flying backward.

Jen's heart pounded.

Eon...

Wasn't just a monster. She was what happened when a hero lost everything. She was what Jen could become.

The Hands of Armageddon pulsed with a blinding purple glow, cracks of raw temporal energy spiraling out in chaotic bursts.

Paradox's eyes widened in horror.

"We need to destroy them—NOW!" Paradox shouted, stepping back as the air itself began to distort.

But Eon—

She only laughed.

Her power surged, the ground beneath her shattering under the sheer force of her energy.

"Yes... YES!" she cackled, eyes wild with madness as the Hands of Armageddon fed her more power.

Michael gritted his teeth, his fists clenching. He knew what had to be done. His eyes flickered to Jen. "Jen." His voice was low, urgent—pained.

She turned to him, her expression hardening.

"Destroy the Hands of Armageddon."

Michael stepped forward, locking eyes with Eon.

"I'll handle her." His voice nearly broke. But he didn't waver.

Jen hesitated for only a second—

Then, she nodded. The Ultimatrix flashed. With a burst of energy, Jen transformed into Jetray, her crimson wings snapping open as she blasted upward, streaking toward the Hands of Armageddon.

"NO!"

Eon's eyes widened in fury.

Her form flickered, teleporting in a violent blur as she lunged after Jen.

But—

Michael was faster.

With a burst of Chaos Energy, he appeared in front of Eon, his hands latching onto her wrists, stopping her mid-air.

Eon's breath hitched.

Michael's grip was firm—strong—but not violent.

His crimson eyes bore into hers.

"Please stop," he whispered.

For the first time, there was no anger in his voice.

Just—

Pain.

Eon's body froze.

His voice. His face. Those same eyes...

Her Michael.

A memory flashed in her mind—

A life she once had. A world that was gone. Her husband. Her children.

Dead.

Her hands shook.

Her rage surged back, stronger, hotter, twisting the pain into something violent.

"NO!" she shrieked, her aura exploding outward.

Michael was blasted backward, but he gritted his teeth, flipping mid-air and landing in a slide.

Eon's face twisted, her pupils constricting in raw hatred.

"You... are NOT my Michael!" she screamed, tearing through space itself as she charged forward with monstrous speed.

Eon's scream of rage tore through the battlefield as she thrust her hands forward, gathering a colossal surge of temporal energy.

A massive beam of raw purple destruction shot toward Jen, the sheer force splitting the earth beneath it.

But before it could reach her—

Michael moved.

With a single leap, he soared upward, his entire body igniting in brilliant crimson and black Chaos Energy.

The beam collided with him, attempting to twist and warp his form into stone—

But Michael did not falter.

His energy fought back, clashing violently, sparks of power raining down like meteor showers.

Through the storm of power, his voice remained soft.

"Please... I don't want to hurt you."

But Eon only roared in fury.

"LIAR!" she screamed, firing another blast, then another—each strike filled with seething hatred.

Michael didn't dodge. He didn't fight back.

Instead, He moved forward.

Faster.

With one final burst of energy, he closed the distance, breaking through her attack—

And wrapped his arms around her.

A hug. Warm. Firm. Unyielding.

Eon stiffened, her body trembling beneath his touch.

"LET ME GO!" she shrieked, thrashing in his grasp, but Michael held on. "YOU'RE NOT MY MICHAEL!"

Above them, Jen had reached the Hands of Armageddon.

Her eyes burned bright as she unleashed a concentrated beam of raw energy, the air cracking apart as the divine relics began to splinter.

"NO!" Eon's voice broke—not just in rage, but in desperation.

She tried to move, to break free, But Michael's arms tightened around her.

"Don't do this to me!" she sobbed, her fingers clawing at his back, at his arms, at his chest—anything to push him away.

But he never let go.

Behind them, the Hands of Armageddon fractured.

And so did Eon.

A sharp crack ran through her body, her form splintering like delicate glass.

Her breathing hitched.

Michael slowly looked down.

His transformation faded, his form returning to human.

And for the first time—

Eon saw his face.

Not his mask.

Not the warrior.

Not the Chaos-infused being.

Just, Michael.

The face of the man she once loved.

The face of the man she had built a life with.

The face of the man she had lost.

Her lips trembled, her eyes wide, hollow, lost.

"No..." she whispered, her voice fragile, broken.

Michael's eyes softened, a single tear slipping down his cheek. "I'm sorry."

For a brief second, Eon's gaze held his.

And in that moment—

She wasn't Eon.

She wasn't a monster. She wasn't a killer.

She was Jen. Another Jen.

One who had lost everything. One who had tried to fix the pain by causing more. One who had never stopped grieving.

Michael gently pressed his lips to her forehead.

A silent goodbye. A final act of mercy.

Eon's lips parted, but no words came.

Before she could speak—

Before she could reach for him—

Her body shattered. A million glowing fragments of purple and white dissolving into the wind.

And then, She was gone.

Michael stood motionless, his arms still outstretched, holding nothing.

Jen descended gracefully, her transformation back into her human form complete as she rushed over to Michael, pulling him into a tight embrace.

As they pulled apart, Michael slowly rose to his feet, still processing the whirlwind of their recent adventures. The familiar hum of energy in the air signaled the arrival of the others—Shockwave, Paradox, and the rest of their team.

"I think we've all earned a break," Paradox said, his tone calm yet authoritative. The group nodded in agreement, clearly relieved at the prospect of some well-deserved downtime.

Kevin glanced at Shockwave. "What about Waybig and Swampfire?" he asked, noting the absence of the two powerful forms.

Shockwave gave a slight nod, his voice steady. "I'll restore them later," he assured, and the group began to disperse, their faces relaxed for the first time in what felt like ages.

Later that night, Michael and Jen arrived home, their hearts still heavy from the weight of the day. As soon as they stepped through the door, Jen's instincts kicked in.

Without a word, she hurried toward the nursery room, Michael close behind her. The door creaked open, and there, in the soft glow of the nightlight, their five-month-old daughter, Maria, lay peacefully in her crib, her tiny hands curled into delicate fists.

But it wasn't just Maria who greeted them. Above the crib, floating gently through the air, was their baby Bigchill, Lilly, her small form gliding through the room as she played with her toys. The sight was enough to stir a rush of emotion in both of them.

"Mama?" Lilly's voice, soft and innocent, filled the room, and Jen's heart tightened at the sound. Without hesitation, Jen rushed to her daughter, lifting her into her arms. The weight of the day seemed to fade for a brief moment, replaced by the warmth of her family.

"Are you okay, Mama?" Lilly asked, her eyes wide with concern, sensing something was amiss.

Jen's tears welled up before she could stop them. She pressed Lilly close to her chest, and then, without thinking, turned to scoop up Maria too, cradling both of them against her as if to reassure herself that they were all safe. "I'm fine, little snowflake," Jen whispered through her tears, her voice breaking. "Just... so happy to see you both."

Michael, standing in the doorway, felt a lump form in his throat. Seeing JenHe walked over to her slowly, wrapping his arms around both his wife and their children, holding them all together in one tight embrace.

The moment was raw, fragile, and beautiful. Jen buried her face in his shoulder, her sobs soft but steady, while Lilly clung to her mother, sensing the quiet storm inside her. Michael kissed the top of Jen's head, holding her as if he could shield them from everything that had happened outside these walls.
