Minji found herself outside of her favorite convenience store yet again. She sat at one of the outside tables, smoking while she ate ramen. She sat by herself in silence, enjoying the cool breeze that blew through her hair softly.

She looked up from her food to see the beef jerky guy again. For a few days now she's been seeing him more often. They say hi with quick nods of the head and Minji sometimes makes him bow. She caught a glimpse of a box of beer in one of his hands. Her face scrunched up in disgust and turned her gaze toward the sky. She could barely see the stars but she knew they would be so pretty tonight like they always were.

"Eonni, what are you still doing here?" Areum walked out of the bright store, signaling the end of her shift. Minji stayed silent, realizing that it was the first time that she watched Areum leave.

"I don't know." The older woman chuckled and took another long drag of her cigarette. She's been meaning to quit but she can't help it.

"Would you like some company?" The younger woman asked. Minji shook her head, standing up to throw her trash away.

"I'll walk you home." She took another drag of her cigarette, making sure to blow it away from Areum.

"Thank you!" She smiled tiredly. The two women walked in a comfortable silence as they walked together. They stopped walking as they arrived at a brick wall with a gate attached, blocking off any view of the house.

"Get some rest, kid. If you ever need a ride, you have my number." Minji ruffled the poor girl's head. She let out a small laugh.

"Thank you Minji eonni." The black haired girl said. A light breeze blew past them, causing the young her girl to hold her bangs in place. Minji nodded at the girl she thought of like a sister and walked home. She took another drag of her cigarette before walking inside. She threw the cigarette away before falling asleep.

"You got the beers?" Minho asked, cracking his back as he stood up.

"Yeah, don't drink too hard." Chan warned the other members. Seungmin rolled his eyes.

"Okay, old man." The black haired man said. Chan rolled his eyes at the younger member.

"Don't hog the beer!" Hyunjin pushed Seungmin slightly, causing him to glare at the older boy. The did that for a little before laughing lightly.

"Where's Jisung hyung?" Jeongin asked walking into the living room. They were currently at Chan and Jeongin's dorm.

"He's on the way. He just texted me that he's almost here." Felix took a sip of his beer. The others nodded.

"Changbin, why are you so quiet?" Chan turned to the boy. He looked up from his phone.

"Probably stalking his gym crush again!" Hyunjin teased his roommate.

"I am not!" Changbin argued.

"Whose gym crush?" Jisung entered the apartment.

"Changbin's." Minho handed the boy a beer. Changbin's face turned red as everyone began to tease him.

"I hate you guys." He huffed.

"No you don't." Felix patted his back.

"Minji~ wake up~" a voice called out to the woman, shaking her slightly. She groaned softly as her eyes fluttered open.

"Mom?" She squinted at the feminine figure sitting on the edge of her bed.

"It's time to get up. I made breakfast!" The older woman pulled her daughter into a sitting position. Minji hugged her mother, still sleepy.

"I missed you mom..." Minji rested her head on her mother's shoulder. She chuckled, rubbing her daughter's back.

"You see me every day." The older woman said.

"That doesn't mean I don't miss you." Minji grumbled.

"Get up so we can go eat breakfast before it gets cold, okay?" Her mother ran her fingers through her daughter's hair. Minji hummed and stood up, following her mother downstairs. The two are together before sitting down on the couch and watching tv together.

"I'm going to the neighbor's again. Go take a shower, you reek of smoke and alcohol." Her mother said, kissing her forehead.

"Okay, mom." Minji smiled at her mother before trudging upstairs to her room. She grabbed some clothes and headed into the bathroom.

She entered the shower, letting the water trickled down her body. She hummed the Straykids song from in the car. It had quite the catchy tune. Minji made a mental note to listen to them more later.

After her relaxing shower, she got dressed and left the house, ready for her day job. After her mom retired, she decided to pick up an extra job to keep up with the bills. She didn't want her mother to stress over things like that. She wanted her mother to be free and happy like her mother did for her.

"Hello!" Minji smiled happily at the customer. She worked as a cashier at a very cute cafe. They played New Jeans, Illit, NiziU, and STAYC. It was actually a really nice and comfy environment. She liked this job a lot better than her night job.

"Hello, I would like a chocolate milkshake, a strawberry smoothie, four iced Americanos one with a little cream and the other with a pump of vanilla, and an espresso." The man with a hat and hoodie ordered. Minji noticed his nervous demeanor and the black pieces of hair that stuck out from his hat.

"Will that be all?" She asked, a warm smile on her face. He was about to say something else when Minji's boss stepped in.

"Your usual sandwiches?" The blonde haired woman asked. He nodded, his hands clasped tightly together. Minji stepped back, letting the polite woman take over. After the man paid, he sat down at one of the many tables.

"Minji eonni." Lee Sunri, her boss, turned around. Minji looked at her boss nervously.

"Whenever that man comes, allow me to handle his order." She patted the older woman's arm lightly. Minji held in her sigh of relief.

"Is he your friend or perhaps partner?" The black haired woman asked.

"He intrigues me. I'd say we're friends." The friendly woman walked away, probably to help a new intern or check on her other employees. Minji sighed, continuing with her work. She honestly wished she was watching a kdrama right now.

Suddenly, her phone pinged. She looked at it, seeing the reminder that she set that Jieun's birthday was coming up.
