"Holy crap, Flame! that was awesome!" Flora stepped forward and turned around to see the knives in to wall.
"It really was!" Freeze ran over and hugged Flame.
"Thanks." Flame smiled and her eyes traveled to the door which was now wide open.
Joey and a girl with dark brown skin and purple hair looked in. Another girl with pink hair and pale white skin stood there too. She noticed another man beside Joey. Blonde hair and green eyes. Boss.
"What?" Flame asked as Joey shook off his shocked expression.
"That was a very dangerous stunt you pulled off." Joey said with a shaky voice.
"Yes it was. What's your point?" Flame walked over to the knives and pulled them out of the wall and back into the pockets on her hips.
"That you could have possibly killed your sisters." Joey said slightly throwing his hands up.
"But I didn't. I still don't see your point." Flame said while rolling her eyes.
"Hey Candy!" Freeze waved at the pink haired girl.
"Sup Jane." Flora waved at the purple haired girl.
"Hey girls." Jane and Candy waved back at Flora.
"Are you not going to talk to your father?" Boss spoke up.
"Since when were we ever your daughters?" Flame took off her jacket again and turned to throw it on her bed. Everyone in the room saw the scars on her back.
Flame sighed and turned around. She saw her father's pale face. Realization hit her. He saw the wounds he gave her. Freeze and Flora were looking at the ground when Flame fixed the bandages on her hand.
"They'll heal. It just takes time" Flame mumbled loud enough for them to hear.
"Well, you guys have to come with us." Jane said as Joey, Candy and herself began to walk off.
Flora and Freeze quickly followed after them. Flame stayed where she was with her eyes locked with her father's. Flame shoved past him and began to walk off but her grabbed her by the shoulder. Flame stopped in her tracks and clenched her jaw.
"Like you said before, We aren't your daughters anymore. You might as well not try to be a father now." Flame jerked away and made her way to the dining hall.
Flame left her father in the hall. She just didn't care anymore. Her sisters were sitting at the table when Flame sat with them. It was loud. They chatting people around her seemed to be happy. She didn't understand how they could be happy while under the control of a psychotic man.
"Attention everyone!" All eyes went up to the banister where Boss stood alongside the supervisors and trainers.
"Today is the day we start the Death Dare Days!" Candy yelled and everyone cheered except the sisters.
"This year, the youngest of us become of age to participate!" Joey yelled throwing his fist in the air.
Everyone in the dining hall began to chant.
"Fright! Fright! Fright!" They all yelled.
The three sisters walked to the front of the dining hall. It seemed as if the chanting got louder as Flame led her sisters to the front. They turned and faced the crowd as they yelled. Flora and Freeze threw fists in the air as everyone else followed. Flame looked at the ground and Flora nudged her.
"Do something crazy. You have it in you." Flora made Flame smirk then Flora and Freeze started the chanting again.
"Flame! Flame! Flame!" They began again.
Flame walked up to the long table then jumped onto it when the crowd still chanted. She looked and saw a target on the wall on the other side of the table. Flame began to ran and did a flip as the crowd yelled. She landed on her feet and as she continued to run she took out her knife. Flame threw the knife towards the target as she flipped off. Bullseye. Flame took a breath and smirked as the crowd cheered once more. Flame smiled until her eyes landed on her father up on the banister. He wasn't smiling but not exactly frowning either.
"Happy birthday to the Fright sisters." Boss plainly stated and left.
"Alright everyone...Time to feast!" Jane yelled as everyone went to the buffet line and went to eat.
Flame went and sat back at the table. Flora and Freeze came back with food. Flora tossed Flame an apple. She caught it and took a bite.
"Your not eating again tonight?" Freeze asked.
"I'm eating an apple." Flame smiled and took another bite of her apple.
The next morning, Flame sat up and saw her sisters were still asleep. It was four in the morning. She stood up and stretched. She changed into a pair of black jeans and slid on a grey tank top and tied up her boots. Flame grabbed her necklace Freeze gave her and clipped in on before leaving the bedroom. She walked quietly past the other rooms and to the dining hall. She walked in and looked around. The coffee station was set up already. Flame grabbed a cup and filled it with black coffee. She grabbed a few packets of sugar and poured it in. Then she took a plastic spoon and stirred it. Flame sat at a table and drank her coffee.
When Flame finished her coffee she threw the cup away and went to the elevator in the hall. She went down the the training room. She put her hair into a ponytail and went over to the lockers. She opened hers and grabbed her MP3 player and bluetooth earbuds. She put in her earbuds and hit play on the MP3 player. She went over to the punching bags. Flame bounced on her toes a little before punching the bag. She completed different moves on it and stopped after about two hours. She then went to the treadmill and began to run.
It was now about 8 a.m. Flame ignored the other people coming in. She stopped the treadmill and went to get some water. She realized she was hot and took off her tank top since she had on a sports bra. She didn't care about the eyes on her back. Flame went and put her tank top in her locker when Flora and Freeze walked over. They were all wearing black bottoms and their signature color sports bra.
"That's a little freaky." Flora laughed and Flame smiled with Freeze.
"Everyone is looking at your back, Flame." Freeze warned her.
"Let them look. It's none of their business." Flame said as Flora handed her a water bottle.
Flame took the bottle and squirted the water into her mouth. She handed it to Freeze who did the same. When Freeze finished, she handed it back to Flora.
"How about we take a mat and tag team Flame?" Flora looked at Freeze.
"We can just take turns." Freeze said.
"Sounds good to me." Flame said and her sisters nodded.
They went over to the mat and talked about who would go first. They decided of Freeze and Flame. Freeze and Flame stood on the mat and Flora walked around it. Everyone gathered around the sisters. Freeze threw a punch at Flame. Flame caught Freeze's hand and twisted her arm, pulling her back. Freeze kicked Flame and she lost her grip. Freeze stumbled. For awhile Freeze threw kicks and punches but it resulted in Flame dodging them. Flame soon grew tired of the weak fight so she swiped her foot beneath Freeze. Freeze fell and groaned.
"You need more lessons in the fighting area." Flame helped Freeze up.
"I know." Freeze smiled and stood up.
"Alright, Flora. Ready to go against Freeze?" Flame stepped off the mat and Flora took her place.
Flame walked over to the water fountain and got some water while her sisters fought. Flame looked over to the mirror on the wall and noticed her messy hair. She took out her hair bow and fixed her ponytail. She took a deep breath when she noticed Flora hand Freeze pinned. Flame shook her head while smiling and made her way back to her sisters. Flora helped Freeze up and they laughed. They were interrupted when Candy walked in.
"Freeze, time for training. Flora and Flame, congratulations on finishing all of your training at 15. Today is Freeze's last day for fighting and then she's all yours again." Candy smiled and Freeze waved them goodbye as they left the training room.
"I didn't know you finished your classes. I finished mine last week." Flora said.
"I finished mine last month. Joey just keeps me company basically." Flame looked at Flora.
Flora's eyes widened and she turned Flame around so she couldn't see who walked in. Flora clenched her jaw nervously as Flame pulled back and saw the man she dreaded most. Flame rolled her eyes and faced her sister again.
"Ready?" Flame asked, wanting to ignore his presence.
"Let's go redhead." Flora cracked her knuckles.
Flame stood straight and Flora went to charge herself at Flame, but she stopped. She knew Flame's tactics. Flora began to think while Flame circle her. Flame stopped in front of her again.
"You're boring me." Flame crossed her arms.
Flora smirked and ran towards Flame. Flame let her tackle her. This way, Flame was able to kick Flora over her head. Flora laid on the ground for a moment and Flame jumped up and crossed her arms again.
"Your worse than Freeze. She didn't make carless moves." Flora didn't let Flame get in her head.
"You're not going to talk me down, Flame." Flora squared up to Flame, who didn't back down.
"If this hurts, could you let me know?" Flame took Flora's arm and bent it backwards which made Flora yell.
"My arm doesn't bend that way!" Flora went to kick Flame in the stomach, but Flame caught her foot.
"Wow. Like I said, you're worse than Freeze." Flame flipped Flora over, onto her stomach.
Flora groaned and sat up. She lost it and threw a punch at Flame. Flame dodged and swept Flora's feet from under her. Flora sighed and stood up. Flame licked her teeth and smirked. Flora and Flame both took a few hits and kicks. Flame's arm was bleeding from Flora scratching her and Flora's lip was busted and she had a bruise on her shoulder. Flame was smiling as Flora hunched over, out of breath.
"Had enough?" Flame asked and Flora nodded.
"Yeah. I need some water." Flora sat down and Flame grabbed her water bottle and tossed it to her.
Flora gulped her water down and Flame helped her up. The crowd was still around and so was Boss. Boss handed Flame a file as her and Flora walked to the elevator. They stepped into the elevator.
"What is it?" Flora asked Flame.
Flame opened the file. There was a profile of a women and a man. They were married with no children. Flame pulled off a sticky note.
"It's our first assignment." Flame smirked.
Flame woke up and threw a pillow at Freeze. Freeze squealed and fell off the bed. Flora groaned and sat up. Freeze's squeal woke her up. Flame laughed at them both and grabbed the hanger hanging from a nail.
"Time to get up" Flame snickered.
She took off her baggy tank top and pulled on a black t-shirt. Flora grabbed her hanger and Freeze's. Flora tossed Freeze's onto her bed and stretched. Flame took off her grey sweatpant and pulled on a pair of ripped blue jeans. Flora put on her black tank top and army green shorts. Freeze put on her black, off the shoulder quarter sleeve shirt with a dark blue skirt. They put on their shoes and Flame tied her leather jacket around her waist.
"Let's blow this popsicle stand." Flame led her sisters to the weapon room where Joey, Candy, Jane and Boss were waiting.
"I should have known." Flame rolled her eyes and grabbed a handgun off the shelf and checked the chamber and grabbed a case of bullets to fill the chamber. Flora and Freeze did the same.
"What do you think your doing?" Joey asked.
"Going undercover for our first assignment." Flame grabbed her knife from a locker drawer. She grabbed it's holder and put it on her side and put the knife in it.
"How are you going to do that?" Candy crossed her arms.
"Fake ids and we are going for an interview. Freeze called last night and scheduled one for me and Flora. Freeze isn't doing the killing today, she will be in the car listening through a microphone." Flame smiled at Freeze.
"I honestly didn't think you would get it that quick." Boss mumbled.
"You chose the wrong girls to underestimate. Besides, I'm already as tall as Candy, Flora is a little shorter and when Joey met me last year, he thought I was grown." Flame cocked the hand gun and put it down on the table.
"You're quite smart, but you aren't wearing the right attire for an office interview." Jane handed Flame and Flora a stack of clothes. Flame and Flora sighed realizing they had to wear skirts.
Flame and Flora went back to their room to changed. Flora put slipped on a black knee length skirt and a green frilly blouse. Flame pulled on a high waisted, knee length, black skirt with a white button up. Flame tucked in her white button up in the skirt and put on a pair of black heels. Flora slipped on a pair of black flats. Freeze walked in and smiled.
"I call hair and makeup!" Freeze grabbed a blue bag and made Flame sit down. Freeze put Flame's red hair into a messy bun and put on a dark brown lipstick with mascara. For Flora, she put her hair into a ponytail and a pink lip gloss.
"Alright, let's go." Freeze jumped up and Flame tied her leather jacket around her waist. She put her knife in the side of her skirt and Flora did the same, but used her blouse to cover it.
"Nervous?" Flora smirked.
"Not at all." Flame smirked back as they walked to the car.
Joey sat in the driver seat and Freeze got into the front passenger seat. Flame and Flora got into the back seat and saw Boss standing outside the office with his hands behind his back. They drove up to a small office.
"Quick re-run. They kidnap kids and use them as lab rats. They are also in debt and owe Boss money. Mr. and Mrs. Olto aren't a threat but he just wants to see how well you do." Joey handed Flora and Flame microphones and ear piece to let them hear was Freeze says. They clipped them on the inside of their shirt and used loose hair to cover their ear pieces.
"Here goes nothing." Flame and Flora stepped out and watched people enter the building.
Flora and Flame looked at each other while sitting in the lobby. They looked around and saw security in almost every corner. Flame saw the secretary put on a pair of glasses and pick up a book.
"Everyone here looks like an old librarian. I think most of them don't have a life." Flame snickered and Flora joined in.
"Be nice, you two." Freeze said over the radio.
"What? We can't have a little fun?" Flame rolled her eyes.
They waited for a few more minutes. They realized that they were the only ones left. Flora glanced at Flame and Freeze spoke again.
"Your up." Freeze bit her lip looking at the computer in front of her that showed surveillance camera footage.
"Gina, Mrs. Olto is waiting for you." The secretary spoke and Flora got up and followed the lady to her interview.
"Don't blow it, Flora" Flame mumbled.
"Miss Selena?" Flame looked up and the mexican man in front of her.
"That's me." Flame stood up and followed him to a office.
Flame took a seat and crossed her legs. Mr. Olto sat behind the desk. He looked at Flame up and down before pulling out a file. He scanned it and narrowed his eyes a Flame.
"Selena isn't your real name is it?" Flame raised an eyebrow at his question.
"I don't know what you're talking about. My name is Selena Hatch." Flame gave a small smile.
"Tell him I'll give Boss his money." Mr. Olto stood and Flame did too.
"Your too late." Flame grabbed his tie and banged his head into the desk.
Flame grabbed his hair and pulled him around the desk. He yelled and Flame pulled out her knife and put it to his neck. She smirked and he saw her reflection in the mirror on the wall.
"You're sick." He hissed at Flame.
"Tell me something I don't know." Flame slit his throat.
"Flame, you done?" Flora asked on the radio.
"Yea, I just have to do one thing." Flame looked around.
Flame saw a box of matched laying on his desk. She grabbed one and lit a match before dropping it on the man's body. She watched the fire swallow his body before the fire alarm went off. She smirked as she walked to the exit. Flame heard the people scream.
"She did it!" someone yelled at Flame.
Flora stood in front of her and hey both pulled out their glocks. Freeze and Joey ran in. Freeze grabbed her own glock as well. They stood side by side and fired the gun, each bullet killing someone in the office. Joey watched and pulled out his phone to take a quick picture. He put his phone away before they could see.
"Let's go." Flame said as she walked back to the car.
As soon as Flame got to her room, she changed. She then grabbed the file and looked at her sisters. They headed to Boss' office and Flame tossed the file onto his desk.
"There." Flame sat in her seat.
"Good work, girls. You're dismissed. I want to meet with you at 7:00 am sharp tomorrow morning." Boss didn't even look at them.
Flame rolled her eyes and walked out, with her sisters following. Freeze painted her nails and Flora bounced a ball off the wall. Flame laid down and closed her eyes. Flora thought she was asleep, so did Freeze.
"What do you think he's gonna want us to do?" Freeze asked.
"No Idea, but whatever it is, I hope it's not another mission." Flora sighed.
"You didn't like killing either?" Freeze looked at Flame.
"No, but I think Flame did." Flora said.
After listening to them, Flame drifted off to sleep. Her sisters went to sleep as well. It was pretty early, but there was nothing better to do. Flame sat up and looked at the clock. Thirty minutes until they have to meet Boss.
"Get Up!" Flame said in a loud, aggravated tone.
Flora and Freeze got up. They all put on their outfits for the day. Flame just walked out and went to the office. Flora and Freeze ran after her.
"What do you want?" Flame said as Boss stared at her.
"You are starting a new assignment today. It's not exactly an assignment bu you will start high school today. I have arranged it to were the battles are after dinner." Boss pointed to their seats where bookbags sat.
"This'll be fun." Flame mumbled and they all walked to the dining hall to eat a quick breakfast.
Flame left without grabbing her bookbag. She usually had a set feeling on something and this time she didn't. She had no idea weather to be excited or angry. The last time she was around someone her age, other than her sisters, was about seven years ago. Flame grabbed some coffee and went back to her room. Shortly after, Freeze and Flora came in. They didn't have their book bags either.
"It's the first day, we don't need our bookbags today." Flora said.
"Oh, Boss gave us these." Freeze set out three leather jackets.
Each leather jacket had "FRIGHT" stitched in white on the back and under it was a symbol. Freeze's had a snowflake, Flora's had a flower and Flame's had a fire. Flame took off the jacket she had on and put on her new one. Freeze and Flora put theirs on too.
"I like it." Flame flashed a smile that quickly faded.
"Me too." Freeze smiled.
"Me three." Flora laughed a bit.
"Time to go." Boss peaked into the door.
Flame sighed and followed Boss to the car. Flame sat in the middle with Flora and Freeze on each side of her. Just like when
