but- everything. In my aim to safeguard my nation, I've nearly destroyed it from within...I have forsaken the trust of my people to my old losses and now...even with all my might as a God I feel... hopeless."

As she finished, Hadeki brought his hands together around hers in a firm squeeze.

"If we act on our mistakes, there can still be hope. Inazuma doesn't need your protection alone...they need your attention, your hand in blessing them, to give them hope that they aren't just worthless hands hiding in a borrow."

"Visions..."

"The roots of our home will heal, in time. You have to take the first step to let it happen.."

Ei closed her eyes and sighed loudly while she returned the firm grip of Hadeki's hands. His hands were quite bigger than hers, even though their difference in power was almost worlds apart, she somehow still felt...safe within his grasp. It wasn't in a sense of protection but rather comfort and promise.

"Where would I even begin...?" She questioned.

"That task is up to your advisor, no~?"

"Miko?!"

Hadeki snapped back when he saw Ei's widened eyes looking over his shoulder. Yae Miko approached the two formidable warriors with a sly smile hidden behind her hand which stayed lifted infront of her mouth by the support of her other crossed arm.

"Surprised to see me here~? Don't forget who it was that taught you how to slip your conciseness into objects."

The two of them struggled but managed to find their footing and stand up. Only now did they look around themselves and witness the devastation they had caused in their battle. Had this entire encounter been in the outside world, the entire Narukami Island would have been split to two islands.

"I sensed that the tantrums had subsided from within so I saw it appropriate to enter. And I must say...I should have been here to see it, it's never been heard of that the Great Raiden Ei, Electro Archon, was defeated by a mere mortal. Had I seen this spectacle with my own eyes it would have been all the rage for generations to come~"

"Defeat?" Hadeki said tiredly. "No I...I just wanted to-"

"You have indeed bested me, Hadeki. I will not take undeserving credit to save my image. Your power was beyond comprehension of a regular human but....I've always known you were extraordinary." Though Ei was complimenting him, she was still very broken down and in a disheartened state. She looked at her own hands. "My nerves quiver...never has my own sword been struck from my hand -- or at least -- not in a real battle. Even if I struck back, I had already lost once you activated...that."

What she refered to also seemed of interest to Miko as her curled lips didn't falter when she turned to look at Hadeki. He had brought back the sword he had summoned.

It's presence alone was dense as it's golden hue brought light to his face while it also channeled electro through Hadeki's vision by it's mere presence.

"How very fascinating~ Now where did you ever find such a powerful weapon?" Miko asked as both her and Ei bask in the powerful weapon deemed a 'God killer' now.

"It was the final gift of Morax..." Hadeki said after careful thought. He didn't think himself to reveal Zhongli's situation to them.

"...Morax.." Ei sighed, "So the news truly is fact. I can only imagine what state his nation is in now."

"Quite the contrary, it is frolicking like never before." Hadeki reassured.

Ei was again confused by his statement and waited for him to elaborate further.

"After Morax's death a year ago, the Qixing brought it upon themselves to run the nation on their own. For a long time they had made this decision, for what they believed was that the time of the Adepti was now ending and humanity's time to take up the responsibility they once held on their shoulders." He explained.

"Is that what you heard from your time in the land of contracts?" Miko asked. Hadeki responded with a nod.

"If humans house the capability to reject and live triumphly without their God's involvement then who's to say they're ambitions make them incapable to survive here?" Miko pondered this as her eyes darted back to Ei. "What would you do if your own people no longer wanted you? You've barely been there for them ever since this Decree and it only heightened their doubts as more time went on."

"I...I just- I didn't want to lose my home, my people, the thought was unbearable after the disaster many years ago...it still scars the land." He placed her hand on her chest, composing herself.

"But the disaster in itself has long past, there is no looming threat that could destroy the nation, what still lingers can simply be eradicated by the people themselves and those with Visions...and even then if there were such a threat, you'd still be here for it, no~?" Miko shrugged with a now slightly wavered smile.

"They didn't start a rebellion because they're clueless children, they understand their lives and know when to speak up against what they deem right and wrong, the only way to not dispute in such violence is to simply communicate with them... they're you're people, not childr..." As Hadeki tried to add his input on convincing Ei, his body suddenly gave out on a massive scale.

His vision blurred in and out while a sudden urge to breath heavily overcame him.

"Hadeki?" Ei stepped forward to him when she noticed this.

"Well, he can't exceed all our expectations now can he, he's still human after all. All that exertion of power is finally leaving it's affects on his body." Miko hummed.

"What...? No I...I can't, there's...so much-" Hadeki was stopped by Miko's finger tip on his forehead.

"Believe me old friend, you've done so much...leave the rest to me~" She poked his head which pushed him back and made him fall to the floor without effort.

Miko then turned to Ei, "Now, let us continue this discussion more....professionally~"
