"Do you know the history of the Honda family peach tree?"
"You're gonna tell me anyway, I'm sure."
Standing 6'2, longish black hair, slicked back and dressed in tattoos from head to toe, 31 year old Park Taeyong quietly walked through the lavish garden his family built centuries ago.
Next to him was a trusted friend and allie, Bang Yongguk, hired mercenary working for his Yakuza.
Taeyong stopped in front of the center piece of his 10x great grandmothers garden. There stood a beautifully grown peach tree.
Yongguk didn't see the point of it but his friend and colleague did, meaning he could be snarky with him.
"Centuries ago, Hidetashi Honda traveled from what it is known as Nagasaki today with nothing but peach tree seeds and the clothes on his back." He recited, looking up at the peaches. " Instead of selling them for profits, he kept them close to him. Vowing that he would find the perfect spot to plant his legacy....to start the Honda family."
"Hmph, he did all that just to find a place for his family?" Yongguk scoffed, taking a long drag of his cigarette. "Seems kinda basic."
Taeyong smirked a bit, agreeing with him. "I know, my grandfather used to tell me the same story everytime I visited him as a kid and even I thought it had no meaning to it...no moral, just fairytale."
He walked closed to a low branch and plucked a ripe peach from it. "but then I started thinking about what that story meant....it wasn't about the seeds or the tree....it's about the respect the other villagers gave him for traveling so far, enduring many obstacles just to assure his families name....because before that, he lost everyone in his family. The seeds were the only reminisce of the Honda Family. Out of honor and respect, he made sure their names would go down in history."
Yongguk looked as he turned back to him. His silk black and golden dragon robe flowing around him as he spun around to face him.
" I had a sister back in Icheon, South Korea." Taeyong said, a small smile graced his handsome face. "She and I used to play in this garden together....our parents would watch and our grand mother would let us pick the peaches from the tree. Just to take home with us. Because we didn't have much, they wanted us to stay with them..."
Noticing that he went quiet and the look on his face, Yongguk, blowing out a long line of smoke, asked. "Why didn't you guys stay?"
Taeyong, sighing inaudibly, walked pass him and through the flowers again. "I guess it was a pride thing. My mother didn't have the best relationship with our grandfather and my grandmother always wanted us to be together. He didn't want us to stay in Korea. Hell, he didn't even like my father. But he was tolerant of him solely for the sake of me and my sister. Because he loved us so much."
The two walked back into the big estate as the guard closed the door behind them. Taeyong went over to a small counter with a small tea set. As he poured the hot water into two small cups, he continued his story.
"My little sister....such a beautiful girl, she was." He paused for a second before putting ginseng into their cups. "She had the most beautiful blue eyes...which was a rare phenomenon for Asian girls....I liked to say she was blessed with them."
"Where's your sister now?" Yongguk asked, leaning on a counter opposite of him. "Is she still alive?"
Taeyong placed the tea cups on a wooden box tray with the tea pot and other essentials and carried them to the small coffee table in the middle of the room.
" I know she's alive still.....I just don't know where she is." He sat down the tray and then kneeled down in front of the coffee table. He looked at Yongguk, offering him a seat in front of him.
He slowly kneeled on the opposite side of the coffee table as Taeyong placed a cup filled with hot tea in front of him.
"That's where you come in." He said, taking his own tea. "I want you to travel to South Korea. I've gotten word that shes in Seoul and I just want you to keep tabs on her....just let me know if she's okay before I travel there for business."
"Business?"
"I have three weeks until my meeting with Kim Namjoon of the Bangtan Mafia in Seoul. He's a reliable friend and good on his word." He explained.
"Yakuza and Korean Mafia working together." Yongguk said sarcastically. "Who would've thought it."
Taeyong chuckled lowly before taking a drink from his tea. "The Honda family believes in peace with work. You give us what we want and the respect we deserve, we do the same thing."
Yongguk nodded, drinking some of his tea. It was really good. Must be a family thing.
"If they choose to dishonor our hospitality, however." Taeyong's voice became a but low on bass. Almost in an authoritative tone.
"There will be deadly consequences."
There was a few seconds of silence between the two. Yongguk was thinking of ways to find this girl. Being an Icheon native, he felt like he should search there first but seeing as she doesn't live there anymore and Seoul was a huge place, he didn't know where to start.
"Just for an easier search." He spoke up. "What is your sisters name, exactly?"
Taeyong gave him a hard to read expression on his face. Though after a couple of seconds, he gave him a fond small smile.
"Park Jisoo."

Well now you know. Park Taeyong, Jisoo's older brother, is the leader of the Honda Yakuza.
If you don't know what Yakuza is, it's basically what Japanese call their Mafia.
Like in China, their way of saying mafia is Triads. I think.
