~~ Chapter 37 ~~

Previously...

"Alright, fine. I had a lot of energy on me, so I decided to go on a walk. I know it was late, but I went to the gas station down the street and walked around. Definitely feeling tired now, so it helped."

"You better. Need to stop going for random walks around. It's weird. Especially this late at night."

"I haven't been able to sleep quick, either."

"Are you okay?"

-------------------------------------------

Gregory's POV

I lock the bathroom door behind me and grab onto the sink. I feel so lightheaded and dizzy... I place my hand on my head as the headache I had woken up to gets worse.
"Gregory? Are you okay?" I hear Y/n's voice, muffled by the bathroom door I've locked behind me.

"Yeah, I'm fine Y/n." I reply, not wanting to worry her as I lift my head to look at my reflection in the mirror rather than the sink its self. I look so tired... The bags under my eyes are really dark. I frown and run a hand through my hair. What's happening? I've been blacking out these past nights and waking up in the front door...

That's scary. I let go of a breath I was unaware of holding, and suddenly, I move to hover over the toilet and let out my dinner. I feel my left eye start to hurt, and I know I'm gonna black out again... What's wrong with me?

------------------------------

Y/n's POV

"Gregory, honey, are you sure you're okay? You don't sound like it.." I make it known there's worry in my voice and Vanessa walks over to stand next to me. "Are you feeling sick?" She asks. "We don't have to do anything anyway, so you can lay in bed all day. We can go get chicken noodle soup for you?"

There's silence from the other side of the door. Then the toilet flushes and the sink runs for about thirty or forty seconds until it turns off and the door opens to reveal my smiling boyfriend. "Nah, I'm good." He chuckles and leans in to kiss the tip of my nose. "Sorry." Then he squeezes past us both to the kitchen, starting to convers with Freddy.

Me and Vanessa look at each other with worry. Deciding to not think much of it for now, we walk back to what we were doing before that whole situation.
Gregory grabs a plate from Freddy and sits at the table beside me while he eats his pancakes in silence, though I catch him glancing at me a few times.

"Are you sure you're alright?" I ask, looking from him at the piece of paper I'm (writing/drawing) on.
He sighs, probably getting annoyed I'm asking so much. "Yes, Y/n. I'm sure."
"I'm just worried." I move the pencil across the paper. "You've been acting really strange and suspiciously lately... I just wanted to know."

He doesn't respond and stays quiet. When I look over he's staring at his plate of his already half-eaten pancakes Freddy made.
"Gregory?"
"Huh?" He snaps out of it and looks at me. "Yeah? Oh. Sorry. Um..." He trails, then cuts a piece of pancake and stabs it with his fork to bring to his mouth.

We keep eye contact while he chews on the piece of pancake. After a few seconds, he breaks it to look down at his plate. I watch him for another few seconds before a sigh escapes my mouth. "What's going on?"

"What do you mean?" Gregory looks at me once more, having swallowed the bite he took.
"What's going on." I repeat, looking into his eyes. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure he's nervous. "You've been acting weird lately and acting up. You sure you're okay? Not sick, right?" As I ask, I move to press the back of my hand against his forehead.

Gregory's cheeks turn a slight shade of pink and he pushes my hand away. "No! I'm not. I swear."
"You're being sus, love." I retract my hand and instead place them on my hips. "You're hiding something." I'm starting to feel like I'm pushing him, but I'm concerned.

"I'm not." He replies, annoyance and maybe irritation seeping into his tone. "Just... Let me eat, will you?" The brunette continues to eat his pancakes with a more irritated demeanor.

I start to feel a little bad, so I sit back down since I had gotten up to try and see if he's sick. "I'm just worried, Greg... You're not acting yourself as of late, and it worries me."
He doesn't respond, so I continue, "you know I'm your girlfriend. You can tell me anything, right?"

He stays silent again, just eating his pancakes. Ugh, why's he so.. So stubborn?
A frown forms on my lips before I get up. "Fine, but I do want an explanation at some point. I'm worried for you, and this isn't helping anything."
I walk to my room and close the door. I don't know, I need some alone time. Why's he been acting like this? It's so weird...

-----------------------

Gregory's POV(again)

As Y/n talks to me, I can't help but wonder the same question I had five to ten minutes ago. What's wrong with me? I mean, I have been acting strange lately... And I don't think it has anything to do with puberty.

After I finish eating my pancakes I go to the kitchen to wash it and put it away. This sucks. I'm happy with her, and with Freddy and Vanessa, but I'm... I feel... Different. I don't know how to explain it. When I walk out of the kitchen, my head turns to look at the door down the hall. Y/n's room.
Truth is, I don't know, Y/n. I'm sorry.
I frown at the thought and walk to the couch. I jump over the arm rest and lean back against it with a groan, running my hands down my face.

"What's up lil man?" Vanessa's voice speaks.
"Nothing. Just tired." I answer, taking my hands off my face to look at her. Her blonde hair is down, and some's falling off her shoulders. To be honest, that wasn't a complete lie, but it wasn't the complete truth, either.

Vanessa nods her head and looks back at the TV. Freddy walks over to sit beside me, but not on the couch, instead on the floor since he's a big bear. He's said before he has a fear of breaking things under his weight (said he once broke a chair) and honestly, I get that. Not the weight thing. I'm basically a short twig.

I yawn, stretching my arms into the air. It's nighttime, and Vanessa's off, getting ready to go to the Pizzaplex again. I've been watching Scooby Doo. Hey, don't judge me... It's good, okay?
I rest the back of my head on the couch and close my eyes. Man am I tired. Actually, where's Y/n? Is she still in her room-?

My thought's interrupted by someone sitting beside me on the couch. I open my eyes and look at the girl who sat beside me. Low and behold, it's the same one I was thinking of. Not like it's uncommon.
"Heyy, gorgeous." I couldn't stop the words from coming out my mouth. Oops...

"Hey." She answers nonchalantly, then looks at me and moves some of my bangs from my eyes. It makes me blush and I feel a slight smile tug on my lips. "What's up?"
"The ceiling."
"Boring answer." I shake my head. She chuckles, which makes my smile a bit bigger. I love hearing that sound. "I meant what are you doing here, dumb dumb. What were you doing before you were here?"

Y/n hums quietly, seeming to think as she looks out the window. She looks so pretty as the orange light reflects off her face like that. I mean, of course she is, dumbass.
"I was just hanging in my room." She answers finally, snapping me from my simp-like thoughts (please help me). "Got bored though, and decided to look for you."

"Aw, that's sweet." I laugh. She blushes and rolls her eyes. "Ugh, shut it."
I pull her close, my arms around her. I put my shoulder on her shoulder. "You love me."
"Do I though?"
"Of course you do."
