I WOKE up in my room, unusually by myself. Nelson had decided to stay in Melo's room cause they wanted to stay up and play the game, but I was exhausted. Before I could even stretch and fully wake up, my phone started ringing. "Nels 🤍" slid across my screen along with the answer and decline button. I answer to see Nelson in the hotel bathroom, doing god knows what.

"Oh! I didn't think you were gonna be up"

"I literally just woke up not even 3 minutes ago"

"Figured, your lookin a little rough right now"

"oh hush, i could say the same about those dry ass curls"

"They are not!"

"They are, you gotta let me fix em"

"alright ill be at your door in like... 10 minutes"

"okay, bye bye nels"

"bye pretty girl"

Then I was cut off by the sound of the phone hanging up. I looked around my room with a confused face, thinking did he really just say that? I shrugged before getting up and heading to the bathroom. I brushed my hair out, brushed my teeth and did my skincare before heading out of the bathroom to change into something different. I decided on a black true religion t shirt and some black shorts. As soon as I get done changing, I hear a knock at my door.

So of course, I fast walk to the door. I open it to see Nelson with his hand on his hip, standing all sassy while on his phone. "Hey nels" I say as I move my body out of the way to let him in. "Hey bre" He says as he walks into my room. "So you gon let me fix them dusty ass curls of yours or what?" I said with an attitude. He gives me a shocked face and then puts his hand on his heart before saying "Is that what you really think of me" in a high pitched voice.

I laughed before closing my door and making my way to stand infront of him. "No I think your pretty cute" I said with a certain tone in my voice. He smiled and shook his head before grabbing my jaw, pulling my face to meet his in the middle so he could kiss me. Once we pulled away, we went into my bathroom so I could wash Nelsons hair.

I sat on the toilet seat while he sat in between my legs, facing the shower that was infront of us. I grabbed all the stuff that I use for my curls since my natural hair was like Nelsons, I also grabbed a towel to put around his neck. Once we got all done with the preparations, I sprayed his hair with a spray bottle until it was soaking wet. After washing it, putting in oils, curl creams and all that. I finger coiled and then defused it. "Were done" I said as I turned the defuser off and took the towel from around his neck. He stands up and I follow him to the mirror, he smiles at me through the mirror before shaking his curls to give them their somewhat frizzy look.

"If basketball doesn't work out, you should be a hair stylist" He tells me. "Eh.. maybe" I say as a shrug my shoulders. I rush over to my phone as i hear it ring, it being Marie who was calling me.

"Hey Marie?"

"Heyy, do you wanna come over later and have like a girls night with me before we leave tomorrow?"

"Um.. yeah sure!"

"Okay, be over at my room in like 15 minutes!"

"alright"

I put my phone down to see that Nelson had made his way to sit on my bed. "Marie wants me to go on a little girls night thing with her" I told him. "When?" He asked. "She said I have to be over there in 15 minutes" I said. He nodded his head before saying "Okay"

For those next 15 minutes, Me and Nelson were just laying with each other, watching tiktok or just talking until Marie texted me to come over. So, I went over to Marie and Cam's room and Nelson went back to his room.

"Hey boo!" Marie said as she opened the door to their room. "Heyy" I said as I walked in. "Okay so, We're gonna get all dolled up and then just go have some fun!" She told me as we went further into their room. "Oh okay, I'd probably have to go get my bag to get clothes" I told her. She smiled at me before shaking her head, "Girl, I'm gonna doll you up! Hair, makeup and all that" She said with a laugh. "Ohh!" I say.

She sits me down infront of her, and pulls out her curling iron. She curls my hair, and puts it in a half up - half down. She eventually gets her makeup bag out, then pins my hair back and out of my face. She does a light makeup look on me, and puts cluster lashes on me.

"Marie what the hell have you done to my sister?" Cam says with a laugh as he walks into the room. "She looks so good, what do you mean?!" Marie exclaims. "She looks like shes going to a baddies audition" He says. "Okay, not too much now" I butt in. "Cam what should i put her in?" Marie asked him as she rummaged through her bag. "Um.. something black to go with them knu school vans that she has" He tells her. She ends up picking out a black body suit and a white, cropped puffer vest. "Okay so what about this?" Marie says, holding it up so Cam can see. He shakes his head yes with a stank face. Marie laughs before handing me. "Go back to ur room and change, Ill come get you when we're leaving" Marie tells me.

I do what she tells me. I added a silver chain, a silver necklace with a cross and a couple charm bracelets for Jewelry. I put on perfume and all that too. Marie texts me that shes coming, so I slip on my shoes and take a quick look in the mirror to make sure I still look okay. She knocks on my door, and I rush over to it to open it. "Yeah, Nelsons gonna melt when he sees you" She says as she drags me out of my room. "Okay don't hype me up too much now" I said with a laugh.

We ended up going to a bunch of different stores and things like that, trying food samples while we walked around the mall and just bonding. Eventually, we got tired of walking and stuff so we decided it was time to go back to the hotel since we have our championship games tomorrow. Marie and I said our goodbyes before we went down our separate hallways. I walked into my room, sat my bags down but when I lifted my head..

I was met with my room covered in different types of flower petals, gifts, different colored lights and a sign that read "Will you be my girlfriend?" and there stood Nelson right next to it. "Stop" I said as I put my face in my hands, beginning to cry. He comes up to me, moving my hands and whipping my tears. "Aubrey, i love you. I love the way you laugh, I love the way you act, I love how you play, I even love how you call bowling shoes "clown shoes" because of how ugly you think they are. I've never met anyone like you and I know I never will, soo?" He says.

I swear i've never been happier. I slowly shook my head yes as more tears began to prick at my eyes. "Yes!" He shouts as he picks me up and peppers my face in kisses. "Okay! Okay! put me down!" I yelped as he nearly drops me. He lets me open all my gifts, and helps me clean up all the flowers so we could go to sleep.

I think I'll a little bit better tonight, cause now I get to fall asleep knowing Nelson is my boyfriend.
