MADELEINE

After the game ended with the Leafs winning, Mason and I were called up backstage by the team to meet up in person.

We went and met a few guys there where Mason finally faced his favourite hockey player in person. He practically hugged Nylander the second he saw him in his post-game suit with his bag.

To my surprise, Nylander hugged him back and gave him a pat on the head for the appreciation given by my little boy and I could tell that Marner and Matthews were unamused of the fact that Mason wasn't his favourites.

I thought it was funny and memorable so the team, Mason and myself took a picture altogether and I posted it on Instagram, in which the guys already followed me.

I'd knew if I followed them back, fans would scream and shake their heads in excitement. They would already assume that I've dated half of the guys in the past, but I would never in the heartbeat do that stupid nonsense.

When it was time to call it a night, I thanked the guys and was ready to go back home, but the predictable look on Mason's face was telling me that he didn't want to go and leave them behind.

But it was clear that the boys had to go somewhere else. So Mason and I eventually went and left the building. On the way home, I went upstairs and then came back down in the basement to discover Mason rehearsing his impressive hockey skills.

It was the weekend and he knew that he had his hockey practice tomorrow with his teammates in the morning. He only did it because he simply loved hockey and misses playing it in his own spot in the basement.

After a while, Mason finished up his short practice and took a shower. While I waited and went to my favourite place in my home, the theatres. I sat at the back and picked out a movie, scrolling down Disney and Marvel movies.

Eventually, Mason appeared with an adorable smile and I expected him to sit beside me, but he sat right in front of me with a blanket in his arm and a bowl of popcorn. I gasped dramatically and crossed my arms together in defeat.

"You didn't get me one?" I asked him, simply whining, my brows slightly furrowed and he just shook his head.

"Nope." As he popped popcorn in his mouth and chewed on it, watching the screen. I rolled my eyes and began scrolling again to find a good movie to watch. "Wait, that one! Oh, never mind-let's watch how to train a dragon." Mason asked me.

I groaned, quietly. "Mason, we've seen it a million times. It's getting exhausting." I admitted, my eyelids letting out in frustration.

"Fine, the second one then." He suggested and I responded to him by clicking the other movie he said. The intro then started and I felt hungry by the time it skipped.

Standing up from my chair, I escaped a quiet exhale. "Ok, I'm gonna go get myself a snack since you didn't give me any." I mocked him and Mason innocently gave me a grin.

"Oh, can I get a cup of water?" He stopped me from one more surprise and I raised my eyebrow. "Please?" He widened his wicked grin and I hesitatingly rolled my eyes and just left the room.

I headed to the kitchen and there as soon as I arrived, my phone rang. I picked it up and saw the caller ID, the corner of my lips widening. Looking over my shoulder, I went outside instead and answered the call.
