"Aap itni jaldi kyu ja rahe ho?", asked the anxious Dipanshi. She didn't like that Aditi was going back. She didn't like it when she was going to be left alone with her professor. Aditi looked at her, while putting her right hand on her head, said, "I am not going anywhere.... We will meet again, right?"

Dipanshi nodded, so she continued, "And anyway you both have to come there, for your reception and some more rituals. Okay?"

Reluctantly Dipanshi replied, "Hmm"

"Take good care of yourself and Jyada chinta mat karna, Dev bhaishab aur Mamta Bhabhi jaldi theek ho jayenge. Okay?" Dipanshi nodded to Aditi's advice. She added while addressing his son, "And if he does anything.... Just call me. Don't hesitate. I will give him a piece of mind. Okay?" Dipanshi nodded again.

In the evening, she took blessings from them and Raghav, Aditi and Amaya left. Rishi also went to see them off till Railway station.

Coming back to his home, he chuckled remembering his sister's teasing. After humming the tune of 'Mai Joru ka Ghulam', she said, "Dream comes true Bhai, now you will have to cook food for your wife." She giggled and said, "Remember bhai, once you said that you wanted to cook for your wife, now see, you ARE really going to cook food daily."

He entered his house and found Dipanshi sitting on the sofa and studying her notes. He sat beside her and said, "Maa and Papa sat comfortably in their seats and Ami too left safely."

His parents were going back to their hometown whereas Amaya left for her hostel. She lived in another city for her studies. She got admission in one of the best Law Universities and she lived there in Girls' Hostel.

Dipanshi didn't reply to him nor did she acknowledge his presence. She just played dumb and continued doing her work.

This behaviour of her now irked him. Yesterday, when he gave her the notes for her college work, she just took them from him without saying anything. He thought maybe she was thinking about her college but this behaviour continued till now. He said, "I have been observing it since yesterday, you are ignoring me. At least batao toh hua kya hai?"

Dipanshi still continued giving him the cold shoulder. Rishi had enough of her behaviour. He jerked her shoulder and added, "Dipanshi, What's this behaviour? You know what? I have hated this silent behaviour ever since. Instead of facing the problem, you became silent. This isn't the right way to solve any problem."

But she didn't bat an eyelid at him and stood up from the sofa and went to their room. He also came behind her and said, "Dipu, Yaar! Please!! I am begging you please tell me what's the problem?"

Even after a little pleading the cold shoulder was going on. She started arranging her things on the dressing table and he sat on the bed with his head in his hands and started racking his brain out. He started recalling each and every interaction between them from yesterday to this time.

Suddenly he stood up from the bed and looked at his wife who was busy doing god knows what. He cursed himself. Really cursed himself for forgetting this. How could he forget to give the gift to his wife?

His mother, father gave her blessings and gifts whereas he thought he would give her her first Rasoi Gift when he was alone with her and somehow he forgot about it. She, with great efforts for the first time, made something for his family and he just ruined her efforts. For a healthy married life, this is the most important aspect to appreciate your spouse's efforts.

He quickly opened the locker inside the wardrobe and picked out the gift wrap carefully smiling at himself for choosing such a beautiful gift. He just wished that his Dear wife liked it too.

He came beside her and forwarded his hand, which had the gift, in front of her. She looked at the gift with pursed lips and then at him. With a sad look, she looked at him and folded her hand in front of her. He looked at the miserable look at her and said hurriedly, "Sorry!! Sorry! Sorry! I want to give you this alone but then I got a call from my friends and forgot about it."

He was planning to persuade her more but before he could say he heard her say, "Not enough"

"Huhh"

Dipanshi raised her index finger to the gift then his face, up-down and said, "This..... Is not enough. You scolded me." She poked her finger on his chest and said, "When the fault is totally yours."

She turned around and before she could take a step ahead, her hand was held by him. He bent his head to look at her side face and said, "This is all new to me. I wanted to give you this yesterday but forgot. Please forgive me this time."

Contemplating for some time, she decided to forgive him. It's true this is all new to both of them and knowing her professor's personality, as he always stayed away from the female population in her college. She thought to let go of the matter for that time.

She turned and warned him, "Only for this time."

"Pakka" saying this, he went behind her and opened the gift and taking out the simple and elegant necklace, he put it in front of her neck. Dipanshi looked at the simple yet beautiful and modern necklace which could go with her any dress through the mirror. She smiled and said, "It's so beautiful. Thank You, Sir."

When he heard the word 'Sir', his hand halted in between. Dipanshi, who was smiling a second before, furrowed her eyebrows and looked at him through the mirror. He brought the necklace away from her and said to her sternly, "Dipu, let me tell you one important thing. Don't call me 'Sir' here. This is not a college."

Hearing the bossy tone from her professor, she narrowed her eyes on him and said, "Is this an order?"

He opened his mouth to say 'Think whatever but don't call me Sir' but stopped himself. He did a prep talk to himself and said, "Dipu....."

"Yes Sir"

"I am not your professor here. This is not a college, this is my home, our home. And you know we are equal here. Here, none of us is superior to eachother. So, call me by my name. But not 'Sir'."

He looked at her pleadingly and she looked at him and started putting two and two together to get to any conclusion.

Looking at her nodding head, he patted his shoulder imaginary for changing his usual tone. Maybe this way, she would agree to him.

She looked at him through her lashes and said, "Okay". Her face was giving the vibes of some mischief, she smiled at him and said, "Toh Mai kya bulau aapko? Kittu Ji?"

"No Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"Β

"Okay.......... then 'Sir' it is"Β

He groaned but said, "Arre Yaar.............Anyway it's better than 'Sir'."

She giggled seeing his reaction. It's not bad to live with him when she could get a chance to avenge all his misdoings to her. She turned around and put her hair to one shoulder. He got the clue and put the necklace around her neck and secured the lock. All the time, she was looking at the necklace on her neck whereas he was looking at her just averted his eyes on the lock to make it secure.

She looked at his eyes through the mirror when she felt his hands on the back of her neck more than essential. He put his hand on her shoulders and said, "My friends wanted a treat, so ... is it okay if we go for dinner tomorrow night?"

She looked at him and was about to say but he cut her in, "You already met them, it's just they just wanted to rob my wallet."

And this was enough for her to agree. So, she chuckled and answered, "Okay"

He too joined her and said, "What do you want to eat for dinner?"

Now, she turned around and came face to face with him and asked, "You are going to cook? Where is Shanta Tai?"

"Yeah!! Actually I do cook dinner. Shanta Tai only came in the morning because I don't get the time to clean the house and cook."

She tried to offer some help but he said, "No..No.. you should do your work. You already lack behind the course due to marriage. I will manage. You stay here or you can use the study table, as you wish."

After that he left the room. Dipanshi too didn't think much and indulged herself in her pending work.

During the dinner, they got a call from her their in-laws. Rishi talked to Dipanshi's parents and Dipanshi to Rishi's parents. Getting their progress and healthy reminders, they talked with them happily. After that they called it a day.

Next morning, they got ready for college. Rishi brought his car, they were going in his car as Dipanshi's scooty was yet at her home. They left for college. While driving, Rishi asked her, "Do you want to hide our marriage?"

Dipanshi, who was looking outside the window, was surprised with a sudden question. It's not like she didn't think about it. She thought about it in both ways, what if she hid it or not. She looked at his side profile for a second and responded, "No. I can't disrespect my parents by hiding our marriage. However they made me agree on this, we are married now. And I don't want to make them ashamed by hiding it."

Unknowingly Rishi's lips curled up listening to her. He already thought that she would like to hide it. In his deepest corner he knew by her behaviour that she was forced in this marriage but he didn't have the courage to confront her. His heart would not be able to listen to it.

He was really happy to get her as his wife and thanked his parents for proposing this marriage. He nodded while giving her a side glance and soon parked his car in the college's parking lot. They came out and headed to their respective classes.

As Rishi parked the car in the parking lot allotted especially for teachers, so there weren't any student which eventually saved them from getting any unnecessary attention.
