Suns stare on you lasted about 1.6 seconds, before he turned and ran towards the kids. Not his normal friendly skip, like life or death sprint.
Reaching the kids he went to a complete halt. Then giving the underdeveloped corpses a warm jolly welcome.

You Lean back on your chair, taking attendance as usual. You heard a loud... Boom. Coming from outside. Sounded like a thunderclap. None of the kids seemed to hear it, Sun flinched a bit, but overall ignored it.

You take out your phone, checking weather alerts. There was a thunderstorm coming. Not to bad right? Yeah. That's what you thought.

It happened again. Boom. Except, it was louder. This time a few kids noticed, the small group that did, all moved a little closer to the daycare attendent.

You weren't that scared of thunderstorms, actually felt them a tad... Comforting. But the kids were scared. Obviously.
As the thunderstorm slowly got louder, an announcement came on warning about it. By now, almost all the kids were huddled up by Sun, Who was trying his best to comfort them. The kids that weren't scared, still wanted to stay by the group.

On little girl said, More of yelled... "I HEARD THAT GOING ON DEVICES WILL SUMMON LIGHTING TO YOU!!"  A few children turned their heads towards you. "MX. Y/N IS GONNA DIE! OH NO!"

'I'm not gonna die Just because I'm surrounded by computers.'
And you were about to say that, but a few kids ran up to you, pulling you towards the group. You argued a bit, before giving up, and just letting them take you away.

Sun spoke up. "No, kids, It's fine! Mx. Y/n-" some kid cut him off." YOU WANT THEM TO DIE?!?! SHAME ON YOU MR.SUN!" Then the kid turned towards you. "You should rreeaaallyyy re-think your love-life choices."
Everyones face were a tad shocked for a second, but you quickly morphed your expression back to what it was before.
'Isn't this kid 8?'

You sat down next to the so-called 'Mr.Sun' And as another 'Boom' Shook the building, a good amount of kids, flinched, And scooted closer. You counted. "1....2....3-"
"Mr. Sun? What is Mx. Y/n doing?"
"-6...7-" BOOM!

You held a small smile. "Does anyone know what 7 divided by 5 is?"
A older kid raised his hand. You assumed he was 11 or 12. He was one of the not-so-scared ones. "Isn't it 1.4?"
"Yup! That means the storm is 1.4 Miles away!"

"How did you know that tho?" a kid asks.
"The space in between the thunder was 7 seconds apart! Then, Just divide that by 5! That tells you how many Miles away the storm is!"
"Woooaaaahhhhh... THAT'S COOL!"

Sun stayed slient, watching as you interacted with the kids for the first time.

"Hmm... I think I do remember a very short story of thunder and lightning!" the kids came closer. Intrigued.

"You wanna hear it? Okay.. well, It's been awhile so it's not going to be the spot-on thing! But..." You took a deep breath.

"Once apon a time, as all stores start, There was a mother sheep, and her son. Thunder was the mother,  and Lightning was her son. Whenever Lightning got angry, he shot bolts of lightning from his horns. This made Thunder yell at him, which shook the ground. Because they caused so much trouble, the king made Thunder and Lightning leave Earth."

You were a little shocked to see most kids paying attention. You sighed. "Wanna take a guess where they went?"
"THE SKY!" A few kids cheered.
"Maybe they are coming here for vengeance." a older kid dead panned.

"Okay.... Maybe come up with those types of theories on your own bud." You gave the kid a pat on his head.

The lights flickered. Now the kids were really scared. "Do you think there might be a power outage Y/n?" Sun asks.
"I dunno... maybe? How many times were there power outages here?"
"A few. There were never Major casualties though!" he paused, seeming lost in thought.
"....I don't think at least..." Sun muttered this, and only you heard. Thankfully.

If the kids heard such a thing, they would be even more terrified. A few of the kids closer to Sun, moved to behind you instead.
Sun looked a little shocked, then upset.

"Y-You know! if... Moon comes out, he.. wouldn't try hurting you all!" Sun stumbled over his words.
In all honesty, you felt. Little bad.
"BUT WHAT IF HE DOES?!" A kid yelped. Now Sun seemed conflicted.

You let out a sigh. "He won't. And I won't let him." You chuckled a bit at the end. These kids were freaking over nothing. 

The flickerimg lights came to an end. Now, the lights were simply turned off. Kids scurried behind you, a few clutching at your clothes.

"You wont let me~? Gosh i'd just hate to get in a fight with you Y/n~" Moon teased sarcastically.

"Moon. Cut. It. Out."
"Hm? Did I upset you Y/n? What a shame~"
You gave an unimpressed look. Before turning towards the kids.

"Do any of you have any stories you'd like to talk about? To pass the time."
A kid eagerly raised their hand. "I BROKE MY MOM'S RIBCAGE WHEN SHE WAS PREGNANT WITH MY LITTLE BROTHER!!"
"OH- uhh... would you like to elaborate?"

'Gosh. This is gonna be a one long day huh?'
