"You just bumped me." Chloe sighed as Saffiyah and Kareema raced down the hall, knocking Chloe's books down in the process. They were tryna get to the lunchroom fast to ask a girl a question but both of them wanted to ask.

Neither one of them cared to move out of her way, nor say excuse me.

"Hmm." Sin spoke picking up Chloe's three books that were on the ground before handing them to her.

"Uh-um thank you." Chloe gave him a slight smile, taking the books from out of his hand and holding them up against her chest.

"No problem. Next time tell em they could say excuse me, hoe ain't even apologize." He spoke making Chloe frown. She didn't like how he had called her friend out of her name.

"She's not...that, you don't have to be rude." She said pushing her glasses up on her face.

"She is. Why you hanging around them again? How bout you come chill wit me." Sin smirked and Chloe quickly shook her head.

To her, he didn't seem like a good person to hang out with. Lord knows what his true intentions were.

"No thank you. I'll ju- what's wrong witcho hand." Sin cut her off noticing her left hand wrapped with a nonstick sterile bandage and saran wrap.

Chloe looked down at her hand before looking back up sincere, noticing how his eyes were watching her every move.

"Um I-." Chloe quickly tried to think of a lie but nothing seem to make sense right away. Not that she had to really explain to him anyways.

"You were what?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I was cooking breakfast and c-cut myself." She lied mumbling softly and sin stared at her not believing anything she was saying. He didn't have a clue what was wrong but he knew it didn't happen from that.

"I'm sorry, excuse me." She said breaking the silence between the two and walking around from him. She didn't want him to be so concern of her. It's not like he could help her anyways.

Walking towards the gym, Chloe instantly went to go take a seat on her spot at the bleachers. Her two friends were nowhere to be found, not that she really cared so she did what she'd usually do.

She drew pictures.

"Watch out, watch out." A guy called warning Chloe seeing a basketball fly her way. Not knowing they were talking to her, the ball ended up hitting her in her shoulder and she hissed in pain from the impact.

Her bruises from two days ago were still healing which made it worse.

"Damn my fault ma, you good?" A guy asked her grabbing the ball from the bleachers, two seats behind her and she nodded looking down.

She was slightly embarrassed since almost everyone had saw her.

"I ain't here you, you good?" He asked finally standing in front of her and Chloe looked up.
She was met with a average height brownskin boy looking down at her, showing his pearly white teeth.

He was quiet handsome and Chloe noticed since she didn't necessarily stop staring.

"What's yo name ma?" Jamar asked holding the ball locked between his arm and hip.

"Me?" Chloe asked softly and the boy chuckled laughing.

"Yeah you whats ya name?" He asked.

"Um Chloe." She answered him and he smiled nodding a bit.

"Ight, you fine ass hell can I getcha number?" Jamar asked her and Chloe's eyes slightly widened. To her that was very bold of him to ask and she didn't know if she should accept.

Besides she barely knew him anyways.

"You got quiet..is that a no?" Jamar raised his eyebrow and Chloe kept quiet.

" how bout I give you my number and you hit me up when you wanna talk?" He asked her and she gave him a smile.

"Sure."

"Aye mar come the fuck on." His group of friends called from the court.

"Hold on." He waved them off before holding his hand out.

"Can I see real quick?" He gestured to her pencil and book and Chloe nodded handing it to him.

He wrote his number down on the corner of her paper along with his name before handing everything back to her.

"Ight chlo ima fuck witcha." He clicked his tongue before turning around and jogging back to the court.

Chloe just didn't reply since she didn't necessarily know what the meant. It was just better to stay quiet.

Turning her attention back on her drawing, she continued to shade in between the lines.

"This dance right here is like the new Santana dance, shit go wit everything." Maya said referring to the dance they just did to 2rare's Cupid remix.

"Ong shit go with slow or fast beats." Lex nodded in agreement before walking over to the benches and taking a seat.

"I'm hungry finna walk to the gas station to get a hot dog." Maya shrugged and Xiari scrunched up her face in disgust.

"Eww you like hotdogs?" She asked.

"Yes." Maya, lex and shae all answered her in sync.

"Yall nasty. I read somewhere that hotdogs ain't even really meat, it's just waste from other shit and they rolled it up. Even if that's not true they still nasty." Xiari instantly shook her head in dissaproval before taking a seat next to lex.

"Ion car whats in them, the muthafuckas still good and with cheese?? Chilleeee." Shae went on biting her lip picturing the taste and the girls laughed.

"Ight they ain't that good to be doing all that." Lex chuckled.

"Whatever I'm still finna go get me one." Maya said turning her crossbody bag to the front.

"Pass me the ball." A guy who walked inside the basketball court yelled referring to the game that dru, kyler, and gutta was in the middle of playing.

Xiari turned her attention to look at the boy seeing as tho her friends looked at him as well.

He was a tall darkskin boy with dreads which hung down to his neck, almost hitting his shoulder. She couldn't get a full look at his face, seeing he wasn't close to her so she turned her attention back to her phone.

"K how you come and ain't give a bitch no warning?" Lex asked standing up. The boys stopped playing their game to come over and greet him.

K made his way over to the group of girls so the other boys followed.

"I already told y'all I was coming shut the fuck up." Yhukani chuckled dapping up the grew up girls and nell took a seat.

"You going back or you staying? Yo ass missed too much." Gutta said dapping him up.

"Y'all was doing shit without me? Foul." Yhukani shook his head, dapping up dru as well.

"Wassup K." Kyler nodded his head at him and Yhukani ignored him turning his attention back to the girls.

He didn't even like that kyler had the audacity to talk to him.

Xiari noticed his rudeness and mugged him not liking how he didn't simply greet her boyfriend back. That was rude in her book since kyler didn't have to say anything to him in the first place.

"Man stop talking to me." Yhukani scoffed shaking his head.

Kyler mumbled something under his breath before sitting down on the bench next to Xiari. Xiari rested her head on his chest and spoke above a whisper "that was rude" but to where only the two could hear them.

"Yo skinny ass, what you grandma doing?" Maya asked.

"Girl when you talking, dont talk to me like that funky ass." He bucked.

"Her old ass ight. Tied being in that house shit smell like old people." He said turning to the side alittle. As he turned to the side, Xiari couldn't help but notice the gun on his waist.

This intrigued her because the only other people who carried a gun in the group were Nell and gutta. Dru nor kyler had guns on them, theirs were in the car.

Xiari eyes trailed up to his face. Now that she could get a better view she could tell that the boy was quiet handsome. Full lips that were a nude color, straight slender nose, full arched eyebrows, slanted almond eyes, and his skin was a smooth rich chocolate color.

He even had a little facial hair on the top of his lip and chin.

Overall she had to admit, this boy was definitely fine and even more interesting.

"K walk us to the gas station, finna get some to eat." Shae spoke up.

"What gas station. Fuck y'all eating at the gas station fo niggas, never been that hungry" He raised his eyebrow.

"Niggas have been though, ion feel like driving and you can walk fat ass." Maya mugged him.

"Lex just called me skinny so which one is it?" He squinted his eyes.

"It's the one where you walk."

"Ion gotta do shit, I'll sit my black ass down." Yhukani said fixing the hat on his hand before turning his eyes towards Xiari. He could slightly feel her gaze on him and now he wanted to know who she was.

She hadn't hung out with them before.

"Who is you?" Yhukani asked and everyone turned their attention on Xiari. Kyler wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest to mark his territory.

"This my gi-I wasnt talking to you. she got a mouth she can answer herself." Yhukani cut him off making eye contact with Xiari.

"K chill." Gutta mumbled lowly. He knew the dislikes between the two and he didn't want it to be any conflict.

"No one important, and stop talking to him like that. You don't have to speak to people that way rude ass." Xiari rolled her eyes making kyler slightly smirk at the sight of her defending him.

"Stop speaking on shit youn know lil girl. Stay and yo place and keep being his bitch." Yhukani replied and everyone's eyes slightly widened.

"Watch ya mouth K." Shae instantly spoke up.

"I ain't watching shit. His pussy ass tryna get his lil bitch to speak up fa him." Yhukani chuckled.

"I'm not gone be too many more bitches, you ain't talking to me like that." Xiari shrugged.

"Maann I'm not tryna hear that shit, you heard what the fuck I said."

"Aye watch yo tone, foreal." Kyler finally spoke up making Xiari slightly smile inside.

Yhukani pulled out his gun from the hem of his pants pointing it directly at the couple.

"I should pop yo ass right now Tyler, I advise you tell yo lil bitch to shut up." He spat glaring at the two harshly.

Instantly reacting, Xiari pulled out her gun from her tote bag, holding it up to Yhukani as well. He wasn't the only one armed.

The group looked around confused since no one knew she even had a gun. What did she ever do for someone to even give her it? It was all confusing.

"Both of y'all lower yall guns." Nell stepped in.

"Y'all gotta chill we in public." Shae added on and Yhukani continued staring at the 16 year old girl as she held up her gun firmly.

The way she held it was basically perfectly as well as her stance letting him know that someone actually taught her this.

What the fuck could a sixteen year old be doing with a gun?

"You so big and bad huh? Shoot me den." Yhukani threatened purposely provoking her.

"Don't shoot." Kyler mumbled in her ear.

Xiari kept quiet, her gaze practically staring into his soul as she thought about what to do. Although she knew how to shoot a gun she never really shot at a person before.

Only her brothers did that.

"C'mon lil mama, defend yo lil boyfriend." Yhukani smirked.

"Shoot me."

"Put the guns down foreal. Y'all doing too much now chill the fuck out" Maya interfered.

Sighing Xiari lowered her gun slowly, sitting it in her lap. She wasn't gonna actually shoot him but she still didn't like him talking to her that way.

"Fuck you." She rolled her eyes before standing up and walking away. She no longer wanted to be around him.

Kyler stood up following after her as they left out of the basketball court.
