Wonyoung was making little curls to her shiny long hair with her finger. She stared at me for a good minute. She had not replied my question. She just stared like she was debating with herself, whether she should continue to act like an angel or show her true filthy self.

"I would have a think about it, but I'm not sure how all of us are going to consider your evidence," Mr. Choi firmly spoke. He intertwined his fingers and put them under his chin. His eyebrows knitted together. "Right now, this..." He pointed a finger at the table. "...is about accusing another student of cheating while the surface of things is telling us otherwise." He glanced at me and I uncomfortablly looked at the floor.

"I totally understand that, Mr. Choi. However, I'd prepared another piece of evidence," Jimin wisely suggested. The way he spoke and the confident look on his face made me wonder how much effort and time did he put into this whole preparation of proving my innocence. He seemed to have predicted how the whole meeting would go and therefore he had also prepared how to outrun every single stiff and slow brains here.

Mr. Choi arched his right brow and gestured Jimin to continue. He sank back to his chair like he's one step away from getting a big bowl of popcorn and watch how this drama would go, somehow it felt like he's also beginning to feel bored about the whole thing and wanted to get it done as soon as possible.

Jimin took out another piece of paper from the same file.

He explained, "before I start, I would like to clarify once again that the fact that I had all these photos is just coincidence. I was very surprised too when I found these two very important pieces of evidence all stored in my phone gallery."

Mrs. Chae nodded signalling him to start.

"This photo was taken 4 minutes after the previous one. It was when my students had finished taking photos with me, they left so Miss Kim who had been waiting for a while stepped forward. She was there to submit her homework. But because I preferred to mark it on my tablet, I took a photo of her homework. This is the photo."

His index finger carefully moved to the upper left corner. He spoke with a deeper tone, "please notice that as Miss Kim had put all the papers that were originally in her hands onto my table, the corner of the paper underneath was shown. It's-"

"It's the English paper," Mr. Choi whispered. I had just realized that he'd already pressed his body against the desk, being even more focused at the topic. His fingers caressing his chin as if it could help him think. His gaze grew darker as he processed the whole thing.

"Yes, I believe we can't doubt these evidence anymore." I could hear the slightest bit of excitement and pride from his voice.

I tried my best not to look at him because I knew that's his plan afterall, to act like we had nothing between us, but of course, I failed. My eyes were glued to him. But this time, it was no longer caused by his big sexy figure, or his chiseled jawline, it's because of him as a person, his soul inside. I couldn't unsee him to be anything other than a pure angel anymore, well not the dirty talks. Still, if we really had to count, we hadn't met for a really long time. But we got along so well already, most importantly, it's the number of times he cared for me. He had stood up for me for multiple times. Like this time, when I was blinded by rage, instead of thinking straight, I went to him, spatting at him like a kid who got pissed because she couldn't get the champion, but Jimin? He bottled up all his emotions because ever since the start, since he'd heard about this, he came up with a plan. Ever since the start, he had prepared how to save me from the devil's trap. I was indeed hurt when he ignored me and acted all cold towards me but they're out of my own stupidity and ignorance. If we really had to compare, wouldn't Jimin be the one who got hurt even more? He had to keep me safe while enduring all the harsh words that I'd shouted at him with.

I sighed and immediately kept my mouth close when I noticed a few teachers looking my way.

Imagine ruining everything now?

I'm gonna kick my ass.

Mrs. Lee finally spoke, "Miss Jang? Mind explaining?" She exhaled while massaging her temples.

How frustrated it must be to know that you have two suspected-to-have-cheated-students in your class.

"I didn't."

Hearing Wonyoung's voice made me sick, she's now pleading with a whiny voice, a voice that was so soft and high-pitched that others might think she's gonna cry anytime soon.

I turned to her anyways wanting to see how she's gonna turn the tables.

"Yes, those pictures are true." She ended with an unexpected line, "but it was the other way round."

I frowned, my mouth forming a circle. I was so close to scream and punch her in the face.

I could think about forgiving her a minute ago but now, the way she still tried to lie about everything and even blame it on me, was disgusting.

Not to mention, she was Jimin's ex-girlfriend, who hurt him so much.

I was fuming.

Before I could think further, she began, "that day, it was Seohyun who came to me and asked me to take the papers. But of course I refused because cheating isn't right. I ran off. After she finished finding Jimin though, she came back to me! She forced me to use the papers."

Her eyes reddened, I wondered how she even managed to do that in such a short period of time.

"Okay," Mrs. Lee murmured and closed her eyes. Somehow I felt like her hair had grown gray-er now. "If Miss Kim really gave you the papers, why didn't you take it then? Not that I would encourage it of course, but I want to know the reason behind."

"Because I know cheating isn't right!" She was half-screaming with her hand sincerely placed on her chest. She took a step forward showing how 'helpless' and 'dumbfounded' she was.

Seriously?

I thought when I saw the reactions of the teachers. They either held up some papers and acted like they're reading something or they'd be talking to each other discussing about the whole case.

Please don't tell me she really successfully turned the tables on me.

My heart picked up its pace again. I felt like it could jump out of my chest. My legs became jelly as panic came back to me, reminding me about the possibility that I might get expelled.

Jimin suddenly sent me a glance, one that was so worried and also so calm. The way his eyes looked into mine was like telling me that everything's going to be okay.

Out of the blue, Jimin said, "Miss Jang, I'm sorry but I don't think I'd trust you."

Wonyoung dropped her head and slowly looked up. "Why?" Her voice was trembling. Her hands held together.

How can the teachers not get softened for her.

"Look at Miss Kim, she's been calmer than you even though she's the first suspect of cheating, but you're..." He paused and moved forward. He pointed at her face with a dramatic frown on his. "Already crying?"

My brows were raised high up on my forehead. I was certain that what Jimin was doing was unnecessary unless he said it simply to upset her. But for the Jimin that I knew, he wouldn't do such thing, especially at such a bad timing.

Then why?

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Wonyoung stiffened at the words. The tears in her eyes seemed to have unwillingly dried a bit, her face looked like she'd been biting on lemon. Her lips twitched probably from holding her anger in.

Jimin gave her a very small eye-rolling which no one other than the three of us could see. He turned back to the teachers. "Everyone, so according to our- your accusation, the one that Miss Kim took was the first version and the one that we actually used at last was the second one. I've checked just now, the first version was last updated on 12/3 and the second one was last updated on 15/3..."

"Fucking dumbass, the first one was updated on the 11/3."

My lips parted when I heard what Wonyoung said. She did not seem to be aware of the fact that she spoke it out loud, like literally, loud.

Confusion remained to spread in my brain like a big fog.

How did she know the date?

I thought I saw Jimin checking on Wonyoung so quickly that no one seemed to see. But he didn't stop speaking, nor did he get surprised for what Wonyoung said.

Now I felt like my brain could shut down anytime soon. Everyone's reaction was hella confusing.

Jimin continued to explain the dates and times of the documents, although I had no idea how it could help the case.

Wonyoung murmured with pauses in between as she drew circles on the ground with her shoe, so unconscious of the situation, "it's last updated at 12:46... Before teacher's lunch break...  The staff room was empty-"

I couldn't control myself, I gasped and covered my mouth. I took a step back.

I understand now,

why Jimin had been acting weird while he spoke.

Because Wonyoung has always had a habit of mumbling when she's frustrated, Jimin was trying to lead her on and tell us everything she knew.

So now the truth had been revealed, by the starter herself.

Is this what you guys have expected?
