"Anaïs, come down for dinner" Cohen says peeking his head through my bedroom door.

I nod my head at Cohen before turning my attention back to my laptop, Lucas, Evelyn and Kiera on the screen.

"I need to head down for dinner, we'll decided on something we can do later. Bye" I told them, all of them nodding their heads before we all ended the call.

I walk down the stairs and took a seat on the dining table, my mother sitting on the left of me. My father sitting at the end of the table near my mother. Cohen sat opposite my mother while Dante sat opposite of me.

Dante wasn't lying about his staying over. But I guess it didn't bother me.

I also don't think Dante told Cohen about the whole Ian situation that happened after school today, and I was grateful for that.

I grabbed myself a serving of some courgette lasagna that Judy had made.

We were all eating our food, Dad and Mom firing up a conversation which I didn't participate in that much because I was too busy stuffing my face with food.

"Anaïs, you had your last exam today right? How'd it go?" Dad asks turning to me, everyone turns to me and waits for my response.

I stared at my dad with wide eyes not expecting him to ask me any questions, I quickly tried chewing my food and swallowing it but it only made me choke and start up a coughing fit.

I saw Cohen and Dante crack a smile, Cohen covering up his laugh with a cough.

Mom just sends me a smile before rubbing my back trying to help me stop choking.

"The rest of the tests were okay I guess, I had my Chemistry exam today. I don't really know how I did" I shrug taking a sip of my water.

"Right, Wasn't Dante tutoring you in Chemistry?" Mom asks, turning to Dante, sending him a small smile.

"Yeah he did, he kind of helped me in understanding the topics" I shrug.

"Kind of helped you?" Dante asks raising his eyebrows at me.

I send him a subtle glare which he only smiles innocently back at me.

"Fine, you helped me a lot" I mumble, shoving a fork full of food in my mouth.

"So, Cohen and Dante. Have you guys started applying to universities?" Mom asks, turning her attention to the two boys across me.

"Yeah, I've applied to a few universities" Dante nods his head.

"I've only applied to two,  I'm still in the process of applying to others" Cohen answers.

"Where do you guys plan to go?" Dad inquires.

They continued to talk about universities while I zoned out through half of it.

Once we were done with dinner, I went up to my room and got ready for bed. I was tired and from all the exam stress, I deserved a much needed rest.

I laid in my bed under my comforter, sleep catching up to me pretty quickly.

I jolt up from my bed, my heart beating rapidly. I look at the time on phone and it was only 2:30 am. I let out a huff before resting my head on my headboard. Staring at my door, contemplating whether I wanted to go down to get water since my mouth felt as dry as the Sahara desert.

I let out a sigh before shoving my duvet off of me and standing up from my warm and cozy bed. I walk to my door and slowly open it, hoping no one gets up.

I trudge down the stairs and down to the kitchen, pulling out a glass, I fill it with water before sitting on the island counter sipping on it, feeling the cool water go down my throat.

I walk to the sink and gently place the glass in it, turning around I saw a silhouette of someone near the door way.

"Son of a—What the fuck Dante" I jump in shock, placing my hand on my chest, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Oh oops, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted water" Dante says walking into the kitchen.

This reminds me of that day during the vacation.

Never again.

"I'm leaving" I mumble walking past him, heading for the entrance of the kitchen.

"No, wait. I'm scared of the dark" Dante says turning to look at me.

He's...what now?

I turn to look at him and he just stares at me with a serious expression. When I realised that he wasn't joking, I couldn't help but burst out laughing, trying to be as quiet possible.

Dante rolls his eyes, the moon shining through the kitchen window illuminating his hair, making it look shiny.

"You...you're—you're scared of the dark" I wheeze out slapping my knee.

"Shut up" Dante rolls his eyes.

"Dante West is...scared of the—" I start off but Dante just walks up to me and covers my mouth with his hands.

"Seriamente, stai zitto." Dante glares.
(Seriously. Shut up)

"Say what now?" I mumble into his hand in confusion. Completely confused by what he said.

"Oh giusto, non sai cosa sto dicendo. Potrei dirti che hai degli occhi così belli e non lo sapresti nemmeno" Dante mumbles, smiling to himself.

"You do know that I have no clue what you're saying right?" I say looking at him like he's gone crazy. Pulling his hands away from my mouth.

", That's the whole point, Tesoro" He smiles innocently.

"I'm heading back to bed, Hopefully the demons come and get you" I tease running up the stairs. I heard Dante run behind me, I close the bedroom door and seconds after I heard Cohen's room door close shut.

Huh, never did I think Dante was such a scaredy cat. Cute.
